It's about being loved not because you're obedient or mature or understanding or digestible, but for you. The work that goes into taking care of you is utterly irrelevant. It's about telling you to stop whining but never revealing I gave you the food off my plate so you won't go hungry, the clothes off my back so you won't go cold, because my love is not dependent on you making yourself convenient. It just is. You cannot be a burden. I would never put you down anyway.

haven't drawn (or at least posted) hetalia in quite a while, wanted to draw all the characters just how i personally like to, and obviously this isn't all the characters but this many was taking long enough as it was, didn't even wanna do shading anymore by the time i was done with flat colours

I don't even care. I love Gabe. He's one of my favourites and he has been since season 3 came out. I love teenage characters that act like teenagers. I like that he's impulsive and emotional and that in his efforts to try to maintain/build his own sense of right and wrong within this new world, he messes some shit up because of course he would. He's only 14, he misses his dad, he just lost his sister, his uncle killed a man in front of him for the first time, and everything is fucked. He wants to become someone who can handle this environment and do what's right but there's no sense of stability for him to lean on as he does this. (This is true for other child characters but I especially like how it was done with Gabe.) I am 100% willing to cut him a break.

For anyone whom it may interest, I have transcribed the Eltingville pilot. You can download the SRT file from the link below. Do take notice that there were a few (about three instances) odd words/phrases here and there that I was unable to make out, and also take note that the time stamps are from the DVD rip on youtube (so they should fit unless you have an odd amount of deadtime before the pilot starts.) Also, if any of you are able to fill in one of those spots where I couldn't tell what they were saying, reply to this post (if you'd like) and I'll update the transcription and credit you. Feel free to share this folder and files to whoever else may be interested!!

Had a "he would not fucking have abs" moment with Sebastian from Stardew. Like that man's midsection is pudding and I cannot be convinced otherwise. He does not engage in the exercise nor the diet portions of ab haveage. That man is abless.
