Charlotte M. Morningstar is the Princess of Hell, and the Heir to the Hellion Throne. She is also a nervous wreck who just wants to help her citisens, however difficult those sinners may be.

i wanted Charlie to normally look soft and friendly, so I gave her a softer body (chubby cheeks, tummy, and thighs) and a fluffy pixie cut, but i wanted also to convey the tucked away anger and fear within her by showing pieces of her more demonic form in her claws, horns, and chaotic eyes. she was given four goat-like ears and a long, serpentine tail to show that she was more than any sinner, and rather a being far more powerful and ethereal than at first glance.

for her clothing, she has a style reminiscent of the 1960s and 1970s, as those decades were huge in the act of political and social change and their aesthetics are very warm and nostalgic.

Charlie has been alive for a long time, so while she was growing she used that time to educate herself on many topics. She has ten Ph. D.s in Psychology, five degrees in Architecture, and five in fine arts history. Despite Charlie's clear intelligence, she isn't always the most confident in herself, often letting others use her under the guise of being kind.

first redesign base of Charlie Morningstar!!

Here is a bit about my reimagined Charlie!

Charlotte M. Morningstar is the Antichrist and the sole heir to the Demonic Throne! She is a polite, energetic demoness, but be careful not to anger her too much. She is the Princess of Hell after all.

Charlie is intersex but uses she/her pronouns and sees herself as a woman. She is bisexual with a preference for men. She is very extroverted and friendly but struggles with anxiety and being a chronic workaholic.

Charlie is a bit of a chimera, having many goat and serpentine like features, the opposite to her Christ counterpart (whom she is actually good friends with.) In her casual form, she stands at 6'10" ft and with the added height of her tri-pronged horns she is 7'4" ft. She has a long, muscular tail with three fins at the end and four pairs of droopy goat ears, two on each side. She has somewhat droopy eyes with a thick set of lashes, the bottom lashes are very long and have a red colour to them. Charlie has hooves similar to that of a goat, and wears special shoes to accommodate them, they don't add to her height.

I had two main ideas for Charlie: 60s working woman and devil kewpie. I gave Charlie a 60s-inspired haircut (that way, Vaggie stands out a bit more, too, with having longer hair) with some curled fringe to be reminiscent of mountain goats. A big complaint I have with the original designs is that there is little shape diversity in Viv's characters, so I decided to make Charlie a bit on the chubby side, she has a lot of muscle concealed by that chub though! It was also inspired by Hot Stuff the Baby Devil and Kewpie in his devil outfit, as the roundness makes her seem friendlier and more approachable, despite her towering height and demon features.

Give me some ideas for her final design or the other characters! I'd love to bounce ideas off of others, I'll be posting her final design, backstory, and playlist soon as well as sketches and finals for the other characters!

this is a project i'm starting to go over vivienne medrano's/vivziepop's adult cartoon, hazbin hotel, to critique and rewrite her work. i loved the pilot and concept for hazbin and was very sad watching the actual show not come out in the best way. i mean no disrespect to vivienne or the people working on the show, just a fun writing project over the summer!
