W: And I’ll have the tuna maki rolls.

O: Ok, so? What do we think?

W: Ok, here’s the deal. I love The Arboretum. Love it! I can see us there. But I worry it’s not private enough.

C: We can make it very intimate, believe me—

O: I don’t doubt it. But I don’t think intimacy is the concern. Is it?

W: No… no, not intimacy. More private... It’s not secluded, you know it’s just… it’s too open.

C: You think? I mean it’s gated—

O: Yeah, but anyone with access to The Celebration Center will have access to The Arboretum. No?

W: It’s my fault, I’m not saying it right. What I mean is we need a more secure venue. Some of our guests are public figures. My dad for instance.  

C: *nervous giggle* Your dad?

W: Yeah… Senator Dane Pearson.

C: *shocked* Oh… I-I had no idea—

O: Nor could you have.

W: No. That’s completely on me.

O: On us.

W: *chuckles* Yes, on us. *sigh* It wasn’t until we walked the grounds that it occurred to me just how exposed we were—

C: *shakes head in understanding* Say less! I get it. But you like the overall feel of the venue, right? Minus the accessibility?

W: Yes! Yes, I see the vision.

O: What about The Pinnacle Gardens?

C: Um… I, uh, hear they’re gorgeous. They would definitely be more than secure, I’m sure. I’m just not sure it’s a viable option. From what I understand, it’s only available to residents and club members.

W: Well, then, I guess it’s fortunate one of my bridesmaids is a resident…

C: *awed chortle*

W: It was nice. We really should come out here more. It’s beautiful!

O: *amused* Beautiful?

W: Not beautiful… pleasant—*laughing* You know what I mean!

O: *laughs* My sisters will love to hear you say that. Pretty sure Clem will set up a lunch date with her realtor.

W: *giggles* Like you wouldn’t want to live closer to them— Hey, Courtney’s here. So, Pier Six at 1?

O: Yup! See you in a bit.

W: Later handsome!

C: Good morning! Did you find your way alright?

W: I did, I did! I was just telling Obie it was a really nice drive.

C: Glad to hear it! I’m sorry he couldn’t make it.

W: No worries. He grew up in the greater DSV area; he’s been here a few times. He says he doesn’t wanna sway my decision, but I think he’s just banking his PTO.

C: *chuckles* Have you had a chance to look around?

W: Not really. I just got here, maybe 10 minutes ago.

C: Well then, let’s get this show on the road! The San Sequoia Arboretum was established in 1927 and is one of DSV’s more desired wedding venues.

W: I can see why.

C: The photo opportunities are endless!

W: *nods* So, the ceremony would be held—

C: Here, in the gardens; beneath this trellis archway. I’m picturing a late afternoon wedding with photos at dusk, by the bridge and a candlelight reception in the Conservatory.

W: I love the sound of that! *contented sigh* It’s so peaceful here…

C: Well, if we want this space, we’ll need to book it immediately.

W: Hmm… *pensive*

Charlie and his best friend Teeny riding their trikes. Charlie sometimes gets upset because Teeny can ride her trike very fast while he's still getting the hang of it. But mostly they have a lot of fun riding around the yard.
