Jan 27 - Jan 30, 2016 In Paris, France
What comes to your head when thinking about Paris?Â
I like to go museum and gallery. if youâre like me, youâd love Europe! if you make a plan to go Orsay museum, Louvre museum, make sure that have enough time for looking through every floors. I was there for 3hrs more. but it wasnât enough. For me, Orsay was better than Louvre because I love seeing famous paintings.
-
Paris was amazing. fabulous Architectures, so many kinds of desserts and Arts there. plus people! thankfully I met nice people in Paris. even they didnât know English well, they helped me very kindly. it was impressive.
Going around by alone at night is very dangerous in this city. actually I donât recommend going there alone. so, I found trip mates(ëí) through Korean website. you could be more safer and take advantage of reducing meal expenses as a group in almost every restaurants.
-
Strike happens in Europe quite often. Search various ways how to go places in advance. Subway was the worst way for me but the cheapest one. and please choose female only hostel or room share if you canât affordable for staying in a fancy hotel. Donât forget that Safety is the priority when traveling alone in Europe! (In Korea, we leave our belongings on seats when ordering / Going outside at 11p.m. alone to meet friends, buy groceries)

Jan 27, 2016Â Off to the new world alone!
-
I wasnât able to sleep easily the day before I was off to Paris. actually I was too chicken but my sister was living in London and I really missed her. thatâs why I flew to Europe. To be honest, I didnât have enough money for trip when I was 25 (Korean age) but the clear purpose and eagerness made me work hard. I did many part-time jobs before I leave. felt like I should see a doctor haha so exhausted but I was really happy.
-
I collected nearly $5,000 for Europe trip and started to plan it 2 months ahead. exchanging money, booking entrance tickets and accommodations, making international student card, etc. there were a lot of things I had to in advance. as you know, buying flight ticket was like a half done. one-fifth of my budget was for flight ticket... (FYI, I paid more money to change âthe OUT cityâ of flight. but you canât avoid it if you travel many countries and cities in Europe)
(If youâre Korean native or good at Korean, go check website âwhypaymoreâ. I used this and skyscanner only. I bet you can find reasonable flight tickets!)
-
Finally, all done for the first overseas trip in my whole life! I was super excited and nervous tbh I will share useful information of trip to Europe and my experiences.Â
Meet me in Paris! =)
