Why do we have copyright laws?

Find two (2) examples of when copyright laws were broken, and what action was taken.
*There was a case where a rapper committed copy right infringement, not crediting a song from another artist/s, and faced a lawsuit against them.
*2003 there was a case where an author suit Pixar and Walt Disney distribution for plagiarising his book’s story which was similar to the Pixar classic “Finding Nemo”. The case was lost when the author couldn’t bring credible evidence.

Image Types and Tools
What is vector art and why is it used widely in both screen and print?
*Vector Art is made up of Vector graphics that encompass points, lines, curves and shapes, which are based on a Mathematical Formulas. Both screen and print widely use Vector because vector provides no lost of quality it is needed to be scaled for different uses.
What are the benefits of using Adobe Illustrator to create digital images?
*Adobe Illustrator is equipped with the necessary tools and assets provided to create vector artworks. There are many guide websites that use Adobe Illustrator as a example.
Briefly explain the purpose of the Pen tool, the Brush tool and the Pencil tool when creating digital images, and describe when it would be appropriate to use these tools?
*The Pen tool is used for creating custom shapes with linear lines, it is useful for illustrating unorthodox shapes for use when other tools can’t. Also useful for shaping the foundation of a digital image, such as the environment.
*The Brush tool can be used for illustrating curved and smooth shapes and lines, also giving shapes made by the brush tool volume and dexterity. While it can be use to illustrate more finer details of digital imagery as well.
*The Pencil Tool is the creative use tool, by drawing any shape and/or line with it, already is present with anchors, which can be freely manipulated to a preferred shape. The pencil tool is most preferred when digital imagery is more abstract.
Find three (3) examples of vector art that you like. Upload (with referencing) each image and specify:

Big Moon-https://www.adobe.com/creativecloud/illustration/discover/vector-art.html
Soy Boy-https://knowyourmeme.com/photos/1951537-soy-boy-face-soyjak
What tools you think were used to draw each of the artworks?
*The Gorilla artwork has used the ellipse tool to shape the main body and the head, and has used the pen tool to illustrate thin details such as the curve on the forehead, fingers and arms. While the pencil tool was used to draw the highlights.
*The body of this animal was shaped from the pencil tool, with the patterns made with the brush tool. The background and middle ground are also made with the brush tool, while the plants are drawn with the pencil tool and the ellipse tool has been used to create the moon.
*This artwork called “Soy Boy”, has had the pencil tool was used to illustrate the milk and the arms, and were edited with the direct selection tool, pen tool used for both legs as well as the milk jug. The brush tool used for the palm folds, the head had the ellipse tool illustrate it.
Why do you think these images work well?
*I think the bold colour palettes in combination with simplicity of the digital imagery allows each aspect to bounce off each other perfectly. Because of the lack of specific details in each artwork, it allows the colours and shapes to pop and not suffocate themselves.

Party Hat Exercise
I was able to regain my skills in Adobe Illustrator and complete this exercise,
For this activity, I struggled with the blending tool as it will blend with completely different colour selected. At the end I settled with a slightly toned variation of the base colour.

Melbourne Star Exercise
With the use of Adobe Illustrator, I was able to complete this activity, as the most challenging activity.
For this activity I’d found the most challenging step was aligning the points of the star along side the curve of the circle. and I had to take out several extra star points because it was over abundant on the circle.
