It's been a day filled with college football and negative temperatures outside. Which means a perfect day to finish my book for book club. Mission accomplished. Unfortunately there's still more football..... #collegefootball #bookclub #oldladystatus #paperback #nodigitalthanks #cold #winter

Face, please forgive me.
Forgot my face wash. Had to get mascara off with hand soap; water wasn't cutting it.

I'm thinking the government won't let me add a filter so I don't look so washed out and pasty... Darn.

Aveda Scalp Benefits Shampoo & Conditioner and Avenda Scalp Remedy Spray: This stuff right here has helped save my sanity. I have sensitive and dry skin, including my scalp, and the winter dry air just magnifies it, like times 1,000. For two years (!) I've tried MANY different products at varying price points. This winter (fall) I came to my breaking point where if this didn't work, I'd go see a doctor. Nothing has come close to helping as much as these three have .... in one use no less. How? They ph-balance your scalp/hair. The shampoo gently exfoliates, the conditioner moisturizers, and the spray soothes. The spray you can even take with you and spray on irritated spots up to four times a day. If you or someone you know has issues with dry, itchy scalp, I'd suggest this. It's been a miracle worker for me.

It's that time of year where you can see the lake through the trees. Don't let that sun fool you, it's been bitter cold in the 20's. Bring on that heat wave of temps in the 40's! Woohoo!

I've decided: In order to survive winter walks and poop/potty breaks with the pup this winter, investing in this Himalayan Suit from The North Face is necessary. Please consider contributing to the fund; I do have PayPal. (Looks good on me, huh?)

35 degrees and rainy. Columbia jacket, thermal leggings, and sandals. I may be in denial that it's no longer sandal weather. Just maybe.

National Adoption Day at Petco. We did our part! Now we need a name for her….. NOTE: This picture was taken before we took her home and we do not use pinch collars. I don't like them. At all. Save your preaching for someone else.

Strawberry Shortcake Cupcake Sunday - They didn’t have a sundae version, so I made it myself. The strawberries in the inside and buttercream frosting are to die for. No regrets.

Food Truck Invasion at Canterbury Park tonight. 🐎 I got a butter burger from Andrew Zimmerman’s truck, AZ Canteen. 👍 Though I have a cupcake sundae calling my name. 🍦 Stay tuned. 😉

We went to the Twins/Royals game yesterday with my parents who are in town. Our first game this season, and I have to say, I love this ballpark. I’ve missed being in it. Target Field is absolutely beautiful. It also happens to have one of my favorite foods, Food Network’s buffalo mac-n-cheese. To die for and well worth the $11 it costs.
Twins won! Which means top Twin prospect Luke Gibson had his first MLB win for the Twins, and what a great win. He pitched really well and we need that.
We also got to meet Hall of Fame & Twins legend Tony Oliva. He was just standing around by himself greeting people, shaking hands, taking pictures, etc. Pretty exciting moment.
It was a beautiful day for a ball game and the company couldn’t have been any better either. :)
