TRAVEL WITH ME | TWENTY SIXTEEN
It all seems oh so wonderful, although many memes would argue 2016 wasn't the best year for anyone. As much as I can agree with most of them in this moment I'm definitaly counting my blessing (#blessed) having traveled around the world just one more time. What can I say I'm somewhat spoilt. :)
Maldives, Seychelles/ Africa, Egypt / Suez Canal, Cyprus, Germany, Gibraltar, France ,Italy, Spain, Mexico, UK, Los Angeles, Las Vegas - 11 Countries and more in just one year seems like a dream! And at times it is just that, spectacular, adventurous, picturesque and brilliant, but it can also be frustrating, lonely, expensive and challenging.
Highlights - Seychelles - East Africa by farrrrrr. A place of true beauty, the kind you'll only see once. The beaches are worth the amount of money you'll spend to be there, although i can't say much for the town unfortunately. A resort haven built among the tropical forests and white sandy beaches, the ones you only ever see in The Travel Magazines and David Attenbourgh documentaries. If you have or ever get the chance to go here, surround yourself with all things beachy! Other things to enjoy; Trip to Anse Lazio, if you are one with the locals or you can find it Police bay is a priceless gem, great surfing and good snorkelling spot, a fantastic place to enjoy a sunset or daytime BBQ. As this island is littered with resorts, check out the Four Seasons, Maia Resort, The Savoy or any of the top resorts even just for lunch and a swim! I can't stress how incredible this place is, for more checkout my post and video on all things  Seychelles!
Lowlight- Crossing the Equator for the first time - you'll see in the video above that although this was a fantastic thing to say you have done, the Seafarers Initiation of doing so is not quite as pleasant. The story goes;
The ceremony is a long-standing tradition of initiation that commemorates a sailor’s first time crossing of the equator. It is a unforgettable memory to which every seafarer will remember.  Those fellow crew members who have crossed the equator are called Shellbacks ( sons of Neptune) and those who haven't are branded with the name Pollywogs. As a Pollywog you are put through a series of physical tests which may or may not involve a large number of fish guts, garbage collected over a 1 week crossing, hot sauce, octopus tentacles or whole octopus if you wish, and many other fantastic smelling items fetched by fellow Shellbacks. You can only imagine what the rest entails, thank goodness you only ever do it once!
I would usually take the time to go through each country giving you numerous tips and places to go for all the other countries I had the chance to visit but you know what, I can't be bothered and its liking most people won't read this far as most attention spans last about 30 seconds or less these days. So if you do have questions about anywhere you see in this post, don't be afraid to flick me a message or make a comment below. Id be more than happy to share the travel love x
Peace x

Suez Canal, Egypt. It's been a very long time since we last caught up. Let's cut straight to the update, here are all the places I've been lucky enough to explore over the last 6 months. After leaving one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen, I traded white sandy beaches and luxury resorts to venture thru a contrast of places, the Suez Cannel on route to Cyprus and back to the Mediterranean. This is a place where absolutely everything smells like poop, you inhale a lifetime of sand and all sorts but at least the journey was particularly interesting to say the least. Check out the time lapse of the few days it took to get thru. One of those once in a lifetime moments.

SEYCHELLES, EAST AFRICA.
Wow, wow wow what can I say that the photos don't already say for themselves. Seychelles, east Africa is by far in my top 5 of the most beautiful places I've ever seen and been. A small island off the east coast of Africa, no more than a few hours car journey around the island itself. After a brief two weeks before work I managed to explore as much as one man made island, a very very small one and a stunning 5 star resort in beau Vallon called Savoy. The island is full of different resorts all creating their own unique style and luxurious feel, luckily your allowed to spend a day in luxury without paying that luxurious price. Apart from being the most expensive island I've ever stepped on it defiantly has its perks. Cars are reasonable to hire so road trips around the island are a winning favourite amongst the crew, the beaches are one of the most incredible I've ever seen in my life, and Eden island marina isn't so shabby either. It's hatching season for turtles so a few of the crew were lucky enough to see them hatch and swim their way into the sea, unfortunately I missed out but with GoPro technology I was able to relive it a little. Experiences like this, scenery like this, resorts and landscape all like this make me appreciate what a beautiful place I'm in. So for now I think I'll try and live for the moment, soak up some sun, surf and enjoy the view. Adios amigos. Xo Wai

PHUKET, THAILAND.
What can i say that hasn't already been said? What a wonderful place Thailand is. At first I wasn't convinced, but after embracing the normalities of life in Thailand and a whole new world, I now appreciate how easy, fun, calm and joyful life is in this beautiful country. Things are extremely affordable, the beaches are beautiful and the people are very calm. I’ve enjoyed my time here and would definitely be back soon. Video to follow.

SURIN BEACH + KAMALA + PATONG
These are the highlights of my Thailand adventure, beach, sun, sand and sea! The beaches in Thailand are absolutely amazing, the white sand, crystal blue waters, the lush forest that surrounds the beach and the rocks that line the coast, all of which become a typical but fantastic scenery. As you can probably see, the is no lack of beauty on these beaches, and it makes the trip all worth while when you get the chance to sit in silence and watch the waves roll time and time again. The photos really don't do it justice, but for me this is where life begins, where dreams are dreamed and thoughts of the future start to blossom. This is life. Every time I get the chance to sit, watch the world go by it reminds me of how fortunate I am to be in a place like this, how special it is and how thankful I am for all my travels, this is a feeling I want to share with you, here and now. Until next time. Xo wai

PHI PHI ISLAND
An early start this morning, 6am wake up (on a Sunday) and after a lot of hanging around waiting we finally arrive to the ferry bay to head over to Phi phi island, well known for the movie 'the beach' with Leonardo dicaprio.
After 2 hours on the hottest, stickiest boat ride ever, we finally arrive in one of the most stunning places on earth, blue water, high lush mountains and scattered long tail boats. Fortunately the weather was absolutely stunning at 30 degrees and little wind, although some would complain that it might be all a little too hot. In the limited time we had here myself and Steph headed up to the view top which felt like 1001 stairs to climb in 50 degrees to capture the most amazing view from the top of the island. As you can clearly phi phi was well worth the 2hour ferry ride, 30 degree hike and 1001 stair climb. Need I say more.

KRABI, AONANG THAILAND
After a couple of weeks with my head in study mode I decided that I would take a weekend away and take full advantage of the amazing place currently on more door step. I've always hea d great things about krabi, it's 2 hours drive away and the hotels are ridiculously cheep so why not get away for the weekend.
Krabi itself is suppose to be really cool but I decided on heading towards the sea and beach to see what aonang was all about, the view is incredible, stunning and the atmosphere is really cool too. Friday night a friend and I found a great little Indian restaurant, played connect four in a bar and retired to a beautiful resort for the night. Saturday we spent the morning relaxing, eating hotel breakfast - which I absolutely love, and trying to find a way to phi phi island, not knowing we were already to late for that boat. Instead a coconut and mani pedi was defiantly the way to go!
Overall a cute little town, a number of good places to eat, beautiful beach and few nice bars for Thailand but I don't think I'll need to return anytime soon.
Tomorrow is a new adventure, see here for more soon!

AONANG + NAIANG THAILAND.
I'm officially in Thailand. It's a place I've always wanted to visit, friends and colleagues have always hyped it up and the photos from others look so tropical and adventurous. I really didn't know what I was expecting to be honest but sometimes I forget that some destinations are not always as glamorous as they seem in then photos , Thailand is no different.
Although there are a few amazing spots I've managed to find, first up, Naiang Beach, one of the closer places to work and my first real Thailand adventure. Watch this space for more updates!
