✨ My Favourite Reads of 2021 ✨ Happy New Year everyone! 🎉 I hope it brings us all good health, happiness and good fortune 🥰 I’ve not been on bookstagram in a while, but nevertheless, she kept reading. It was a record breaker for me - I read 100 books!! - so I couldn’t not post my favourite reads of 2021! ✨ The Kiss Quotient ✨ A Christmas Carol ✨ Under the Whispering Door ✨ Malibu Rising ✨ The Prison Healer ✨ Heartstopper ✨ A Marvellous Light ✨ Six Crimson Cranes ✨ The Beautiful Ones ✨ The Four Winds ✨ Daughters of Night I’ve read The Kiss Quotient three times since first reading it in April. It’s one of my absolute favourite books, alongside Get A Life Chloe Brown and Mexican Gothic. Under the Whispering Door had me sobbing like a baby yet left me feeling joyful. Six Crimson Cranes took me to another world with Lim’s beautiful writing. And The Prison Healer had my heart pounding and was my first big plot twisty read of the year with a devilish cliffhanger. Malibu Rising and Daughters of Night had me shouting at the book and wanting to throw it across the room, and in the next breath, cuddle it. Daughters of Night is the best historical mystery I’ve ever read! The Beautiful Ones introduced me to one of the most diabolically complex characters I’ve ever read, Valérie Véries. A Christmas Carol was the one and only classic I read this year, and the first one in quite some time, and I loved it! The Four Winds gets a mention as, albeit not a 5⭐️ read, I remember it so vividly, almost an entire year on since reading it. ~~~ I could go on and on about my most anticipated 2022 releases, but I think I’ve gibbered on enough for one post. So, I hope you all had a wonderful reading year and that the year in its entirety was kind to you and your family. Take care of each other and remember to look after yourself too 💗 https://www.instagram.com/idealpages/p/CYMOlV1Ajt6/?utm_medium=tumblr
