At the beginning of What's Wrong With Secretary Kim's 6th episode, Park Seo Joon is seen eyeing his phone while fake-reading 혼자 있는 시간의 힘 by Takashi Saito, specifically the ISBN 9788960869271 edition.
The title can be translated as "The power of alone time", which is ironic considering that while reading the book, our dear chaebol is anxiously waiting for Kim Mi So to text him back.
From the promotional material, it looks like the small dust jacket / banner? was an integral part to this edition.

This Japanese workbook featured in What's Wrong With Secretary Kim, episode 4, does not seem to exist. I've looked for 일본어 한걸음에 떼기 on Google, GoodReads and Naver and nothing comes up.
It's possible that the dust jacket was custom-made for the show (the design looks quite generic) to hide an actual Japanese workbook. Notice the blue page he is looking at (in the photo above) and the colour scheme of the exercises below, which match each other but not the dustjacket.

What's Wrong With Secretary Kim?, episode 4
I was surprised to find out that this book, mentioned various times in WWWSK is an actual book!
Tumblr media
Kim Mi So's favourite books is 모든 순간이 너였다 (Every Moment With You), by 하태완. From what I can tell, it's a collection of short poems/essays. This is the ISBN: 9791162202913 edition.

Well, this is an unusual one. In the webtoon "One-of-a-Kind Romance" by Dooboo, episodes 89 & 90, we see the characters reading a fashion magazine. And it's a cartoon rendition of the real December 2018 Vogue issue! What a fun Easter Egg.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I think the author Dooboo must really like cats...

In the first episode of "Please Feel At Ease Mr Ling" (一不小心捡到爱, 2021), we can see some mangas and fashion magazines inside Gu An Xin (Zhao Lu Si)'s house.
The mangas are volumes 8, 10 and 20 of Black Butler (黒執事) by Yana Toboso.

I wasn't able to ID the magazines.
I'm quite certain this is a copy of Elle China (the logo checks out) but after looking through the covers from Oct 2016 to May 2021 (when the first episode aired) I wasn't able to find the right issue. Same with the other magazine, presumably a Grazia China issue, I've looked at all the covers posted on the official Instagram account between August 2020 and August 2019 but nothing. How old are these issues???
A clue in case anyone wants to dig into their Chinese magazine collection and find out: according to chinesedrama.info, "Filming began on May 23, 2020 and wrapped in August 2020" + the red writing on the Elle magazine says "the Spirit" in the Latin alphabet.

In episode 2 (or 4, depending on the way you are counting them) of The Secret Life of My Secretary, actress Jin Ki Joo visits a manga cafè in Seoul and is seen reading 2 mangas.
I wasn't able to identify the first one (the title should starts with 스타스키 but Google just gives me Starsky and Hutch content in Korean), but the second is quite easy: Your Lie in April by Naoshi Arakawa, volume 11 (the last one), Korean version.
Tumblr media
In that same episode, actress Kim Ji Min is seen reading The Tell-Tale Brain, which presumably is the 2010 nonfiction book by V. S. Ramachandra, but I wasn't able to find the correct edition. Perhaps it's a Korea-only edition?

Later on in the same episode, she is also seen reading Volume 7 during a make-over montage.

In episode 3 of Hometown Cha Cha Cha, Pyo Mi Seon (Gong Min Jeung) is seen eating a snack while reading a manwha. It's the 4th volume of Four Daughters of Armian (아르미안의 네딸들) by Il Sook Shin. The first volume came out in 1986.

Book in Main Hoon Na
Click here for more books and fashion magazine identifications.
Main Hoon Na (2004) is a fantastic Hindi movie in which Shah Rukh Khan plays a socially awkward super soldier.
During the titular song "Main Hoon Na", Sanjana (Amrita Rao) is seen reading a book in the university library.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The book is "The Brontës and their world", by Phyllis Bentley, a biography of the Brontë sisters first published in 1969.
Tumblr media
While this is a perfect book to find in a university library (50 years out of date and covered by cellophane), why was Sanjana reading a book on English literature? Every single character in the movie attended STEM classes!

Fashion Magazines in Kabhi Khushi Khabie Gham (2001)
Click here for more fashion magazine identifications.
Kabhi Khushi Khabie Gham (2001) is a cult Hindi movie (Hindi, not Indie, enunciate the H). If you haven't watched it yet, run!
One of the main characters, Pooja, is a university student who is really, really, really into fashion. It makes sense, then, that when she first appears on the screen, she is literally surrounded by fashion magazines.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Next to her lay 8 magazines! All from a variety of publications and not even a duplicate. I'm impressed! Tracking them all down took me a good 2 hours, tho...
Some parameters:
The movie was shot starting on 16 October 2000 and was released in India on 14 December 2001.
The movie is set in both India and the UK, with this scene, in particular, being set in London so I'm assuming most of the magazines will be UK edition.
Ok, now we are ready to start.

Harpers & Queen - May 2001

This is not, in fact, an Harper's Bazaar issue, because Harper's Bazaar UK didn't exist at the time! According to Wikipedia: "In November 1970, New York City-based Hearst Communications amalgamated it with Queen magazine (which dated from 1862) to form Harpers & Queen. [...] In March 2006, it was renamed Harper's Bazaar, bringing it in line with its international sister titles."

.
In case you need a recap:
Harpers & Queen - May 2001
Cosmopolitan UK - June 2001
Harpers & Queen - March 2001
Tatler - August 1998
Elle US - June 2001
Vogue UK - June 1998
Harpers & Queen - April 2001
Vogue UK - April 2001
This tells us that this scene was shot during of after June 2001.
Most of the magazines are from around that time, but two of them are from 3 years before, 1998! I wonder how they found them? It's not like you can waltz in any store and get 3 years old fashion magazines!
And most importantly, a US edition of Elle?? Of the issue of that same month? How?? They didn't shoot in the US at all!

It is Harper's Bazaar, the 15th September 1938 issue.

There aren't many eBay listings for 1930s magazine issues but I was able to find the original cover on the blog "light color sounds" through Pinterest, so thank you very much for your service, various internet users!

Fashion Magazines in The Rookie #2
Here for other magazines in The Rookie and other shows.
In The Rookie, 2x11, Tim Bradford is seen reading the magazine "Teen Rebel".
Tumblr media
This is not an actual magazine.
Just like the magazines shown in 1x14, this is a prop from Studio Graphics. It's the same exact cover as can be found on their website, only the name of the magazine is "Trendy Girl Magazine". (btw, I think Studio Graphics might be a section of ISS Props)
Tumblr media
Tim also says that inside the magazine there is a quiz "Which BTS member is your soulmate?" but that spread is not shown on camera, so who knows.
