Felix could talk to her
In “Pretension”, Felix was shown to still be watching everyone from a distance after the events of “Emotion”. However, out of everyone, Felix had developed a deeper interest in Kagami since their conversation at the Diamonds dance.
Tumblr media
Of course, after temporarily making all of Paris disappear, Kagami had little interest in seeing Felix again, and yet out of everyone Felix had met, something about Kagami made him feel willing to talk.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Felix  became someone who would not be easily forgotten by the team, let alone easily forgiven after everything he had done. But amidst everything Felix had done, his actions only ever left everyone with a deep sense of confusion. Sure, some of his choices were parts of a secret elaborate plan to take back the peacock miraculous, but it was his obscure social interactions with the others that made it feel like Felix had an unspoken anger he never put into words, for anyone, not even his own family.
( Causing conflict with Adrien, his friends, and Ladybug in ”Felix”, taking joy in making anyone and everyone disappear with a snap of his fingers in “Emotion”, and then later following and kidnapping Kagami in “Pretension” in an attempt to help get her away from her controlling mother, all boiled down to some unspoken anger, much of which he never made clear.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Of course, nothing could excuse the things he did, but it did leave everyone wondering why he did it. It wasn't until "Emotion", when Felix was horrified over the realization that his actions were drawing him closer and closer into becoming just like his father, did it become apparent that there were a lot of things Felix did that he wasn't very well aware of why he even did it in the first place.
Tumblr media
(Back in "Felix", when Adrien confronted Felix about the things he did, Felix gave no contexts over what led him to do such things, he simply skipped straight to the apology. Felix gave no context, because even he couldn't fully understand what motivated him to do it, he just did it.)
Tumblr media
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Even his confusion over why his actions towards Kagami in "Pretension" were frowned upon by her, was a surprise on his part. But for Kagami, who had previously viewed Felix as a threat along with everyone else, it was baffling to witness Felix's lack of understanding over why his decision to follow her around and kidnap her were all terrible choices. Kagami could hardly believe what she was seeing, for someone who was good at fooling and outsmarting others, Felix was terrible at understanding himself and socializing like a normal person.
Kagami said Felix was terrible at social relationships, but she didn't realize just yet that she was too. And yet when the two of them were first introduced, their appearances said otherwise. On the outside, their well disciplined and intellectual personas made it seem like they had their lives well put together. Kagami was strong willed and intimidating, while Felix was clever and knew how to play his cards right to stay one step ahead of everyone, but what no one knew was that this was all they ever knew how to do. When it came down to the two of them actually forming bonds with others to make friends and just casually talk to someone, they really had no idea what they were doing. Looking back on the series, their lack of emotional intelligence and social skills was made obvious from the start, they did not choose to live in this manner, they were restricted from learning there were better ways to live their lives.
Having both been born from the power of the peacock miraculous, Kagami and Felix struggled with living alongside parents who took advantage of the amoks that controlled them. The two of them were not brought into the world to be loved and raised, they were created to be used so as to fulfill their parents selfish desires, both confined from the world and forced only to do as they were ordered to. That life left them so disconnected from the rest of the world that they couldn't even understand how absurd some of their personal views and choices were.
Kagami didn't understand that much of what she said and did made her seem cold and insulting to others, her past relentless pursuit to accomplish everything with the utmost perfection made her rage prone and easily jump to conclusions about other people who she could only perceive as flawed compared to her, but over the course of the series, she grew to learn that it was she who was denied the right to understand herself, how she too was always flawed, but that was not necessarily a bad thing. The negative emotions she felt from time to time was just one of many complicated feelings she was never permitted to acknowledge or learn how to express in a healthier manner. Back then, to Kagami, feelings were a weakness meant to be hidden, not shared, something she also learned over time was a terrible way to live.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Felix for one kept his life hidden from everyone, refusing to let others get close to him and refusing even more so to let himself be closer to others, leaving him to live out a life with no friends to talk to and no one but himself and his mother to trust. His unwillingness to engage more in the world around him so he could instead focus on his goal of creating a free world, blinded him from seeing just how much of himself he did not understand, and even more so how little he understood about the world around him. Doing things such as following others around and kidnapping them for one, seemed like the correct course of actions to take, but when he heard it from another persons perspective, like Kagami, he began to see his actions in a whole other light, realizing the absurdness of what he did and how it was not at all the way to go about meeting someone to get to know them or help them. He agreed of course to not do it again, understanding now it was not the heroic course of action he thought it was.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Felix may not have given much context over his actions in the past, but knowing now the life he lived, that anger he showed was likely always tied to his frustrations over not being permitted to choose his own life (More here). Lashing out at others, even Adrien, especially those who had what he couldn't, was something he wouldn't understand until later was not the healthiest way to go about living.
(Felix let his anger and jealousy get to him when he learned Adrien managed to obtain what he couldn't, a life outside his fathers control, friends, and even love, all things Felix felt compelled to ruin for Adrien.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Before "Pretension", no one knew what Felix was thinking, let alone what he was feeling, his emotionless expression showed he had built a wall around himself, preferring to keep a firm stance on maintaining his guard up no matter who he was around. However, the more Felix's life with his father was pieced together, the more his odd behavior made sense.
Tumblr media
In "Pretension", when Tomoe acted as if she aimed to rescue Kagami, then quickly shifted to shooting arrows at her, Felix said he was glad no one like Kagami ever met his father, because he was 1000x worse. Felix never expressed any sadness over his fathers death, because his father was by all means, an absolute monster Felix was relieved was gone from his life. As relieving as it must have been for Felix to be freed from his fathers controlling and abusive nature, those years of being forced to act as if he was the well behaved son of a monster, was what led him to maintain such a strong emotional guard throughout his life. Problem was, even after his fathers death, Felix refused to let himself be vulnerable, he refused to talk to anyone or let anyone get close to him, he kept his walls up.
However, the one person who managed to break through those walls, was Kagami, who ironically enough, was also learning to let her own walls down so she could take a chance at becoming more vulnerable and expressive about her own feelings. Felix had met Kagami before in “Gabriel Agreste”, but back then, he was not interested in befriending anyone, his only focus was finding and obtaining the peacock miraculous. It wasn't until “Emotion” that he got the opportunity to actually take time to interact with her, only to discover she was a sentihuman just like him, after sensing her amok in the Tsurugi family ring she was wearing.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Felix said that what drew him to Kagami was realizing how alike they both were, yet still very different. And even though Kagami was not aware at the time that the two of them were both sentibeings, she could sense what Felix felt, something neither of them felt with anyone, a connection. In many ways, Felix felt safe talking to Kagami, telling her things about himself he never told anyone, because unlike everyone else, the two of them shared a pain only they could understand.

Lets talk about Tomoe
Tomoe is by all means the perfect example of what her family strived to achieve, she had become just as much of a strong willed woman as her ancestor Tomoe Gozen was believed to represent, becoming a warrior of her generation.
Tumblr media
But as seen throughout the series, this strive to be the perfect warrior had its consequences as descendants like Kagami realized they missed out on much of what life had to offer. Meaningful relationships were not being experienced, any joys in life were cast aside to uphold strict discipline and training, and any emotions felt were shunned as a weakness that interfered with what they strived to achieve.
If Kagami's whole life as a Tsurugi had already been planned for her, then its rather obvious that Tomoe's life was as well. However, unlike Kagami, who decided to take a chance and break tradition in favor of her own path, Tomoe was someone who accepted the path her family decided for everyone in their family long ago, but that path was something that eventually led her to join the secret society hell bent on obtaining the miraculous to create a new world.
(In "Intuition" it was revealed that what Tomoe wanted most, was to create a new world, something only a wish from the miraculous could grant. Tomoe is so obsessed with having her wish granted, that she was willing to put Claude's life at stake in Gabriel's plans, even expressing her desire for a new world in her secret passcode to control the spaceship Claude was boarding. K1s3k1_n0_Sh1n_J1d41. "Kiseki no Shin Jidai", which translates to "A New Era of Miracles" in English.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
In "El Toro de Piedra", the secret society is revealed to have a number of members, all people similar to Tomoe who hold a high position of wealth in society, and while the identities of many of the members are still unknown to the audience, they all appear to have their own job to do in the group to fulfill their mission of obtaining the miraculous.
Tumblr media
Gabriel in particular was serving as their front, tasked with using the butterfly miraculous to hunt down and obtain the ladybug and cat miraculous, while the rest of them helped from the shadows so as to insure their group remained secret. Tomoe in particular, provided any assistance she could through the various advanced technology her company created, but despite her valuable support in this secret society, her reasoning for wanting a new world is still in question. Tomoe is someone who has both power and respect in the world, she is fully capable of obtaining what she wants, on top of it all, no one, not even the other members of the secret society like Gabriel, would dare mess with her, so what is it that Tomoe wants out of a new world that she cant obtain on her own?
Perhaps Tomoe's reasoning for wanting a new world has to do with her family legacy. The Tsurugi family has a strong tradition in upholding their lives with a great sense of strength and perfection, but that desire to pursue perfection has gone farther from what their ancestor truly represented.
Tumblr media
Tomoe Gozen was a real person whos famed actions were only ever recorded in one battle, a battle that started with defeat, but ended in Tomoe Gozen taking the head of a rival lord to avenge her own lord. Given that miraculous is fictional and can do whatever it wants, there is no telling what the show will include in Tomoe Gozen's story that paved the path for descendants like Tomoe to seek out what is essentially world domination.
Tomoe was obviously named after her ancestor Tomoe Gozen and talks a lot about what she represents in their family, especially the rules they must follow to be just as strong as her, but those rules instilled into their family feel like something that gradually spiraled through each generation into an unhealthy tradition that affected their descendants sense of humanity, and spiraled even more so the more Tomoe sought out the power of the miraculous, a power that could grant any wish. Sure Tomoe has achieved a lot on her own just like how her family expected any Tsurugi to do, but that desire to achieve absolute perfection may no longer be centered around just their family, its now being directed towards the rest of the world around them.
Tomoe holds her families traditions in such high regard that she, at some point in her life, began to only see the flaws in others, making the rest of the world and those who inhabit it as too flawed, too incompetent, a failure to what her ancestor fought for.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Rather than understand that flaws are just part of being a human being like Kagami did, Tomoe may have taken it upon herself to carry on the family legacy by finding the means of creating a perfect society, inhabited and run by people who are themselves perfect, ensuring that the world reflected everything her ancestor was believed to stand for. However, doing what she believes is best for the world, would also mean forcibly changing everything and everyone, while casting out the rest who failed to meet those standards.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In the "Sublimation" secret ending, Tomoe is shown to have offered to become Sublimes sponsor, and while it may seem like she is being a good natured person by supporting the athletic career of a promising young girl, her wicked smile at the end says she has something else planned from having people like Sublime as close to her as possible. Sublime herself is viewed as a prodigy by the public, her success even earned her the title "The pride of the city" in Belgium, Moucron. But that sense of perfection in other young people from around the world is exactly what has Tomoe thinking.
Tumblr media
Before, Tomoe only ever focused on Kagami and making her the image she always envisioned would carry on their family legacy. Although she previously believed she had achieved that and now only needed her daughter to marry someone(Adrien) that was considered to be just as perfect to carry on their families future, everything changed in "Pretension".
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ever since "Pretension", when Kagami openly expressed her own opinion and chose to stray away from the traditions their family upheld, Tomoe had since declared Kagami a disapointment that is unworthy of wearing their family crest.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Kagami's new design in season 6 even shows she no longer wears the family crest on her clothes like she used to, and has even begun attending public school to better surround herself with friends and learn things that she personally wants to learn about, rather than spend every waking moment training under her mothers supervision.
Tumblr media
Tomoe's plans in the new world included having a child that was perfect and above all, easy to keep under control, but now that Kagami has shown she is straying away from everything that was taught to her and is proving to be far more difficult to keep in line, even more so as Tomoe seems to remain unaware that Felix secretly swapped the ring that controls Kagami, Tomoe may now be weighing her options upon considering Kagami a lost cause in fulfilling her mothers dream, by instead focusing her attention on others who would be far more suitable in upholding the duties that were going to be entrusted to Kagami in running the new world.
(The Tsurugi family ring contains Kagami's amok, something Tomoe intended to use to take full control of Kagami again, had Felix not swapped the ring with a fake earlier. Felix later gave Kagami back the real ring, ensuring her freedom.)
Tumblr media
Sublime may be one of many from the younger generations who Tomoe is keeping a watchful eye on as possible candidates to join her in managing the new world. But again, lets just wait and see what the show has to say.

She had to accept Felix won
Ladybug was understandably very angry when Felix resurfaced in "Emotion" at the Diamond's Dance, seeing as she and Cat Noir have been searching for him ever since he handed over all the miraculous in the miracle box to Monarch back in "Strike Back".
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Losing all the miraculous to Monarch was a major blow for Ladybug, the sacrifices alone she had to make to ensure the safety of the magical jewels took its toll on her the more they grew over time, leaving her no other choice but to even sacrifice her own relationships(temporarily) as well as her own peace of mind. No one understood just how hard she worked to keep Monarch from taking the jewels from her, even spending many sleepless nights creating plans to prevent a future possibility. However, the one thing she never considered, was someone other than Monarch, Felix, taking all the miraculous.
("Kuro Neko" and "Destruction", we are shown that Marinette would spend many sleepless nights crafting plans to ensure the safety of the miraculous)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It was only natural for Ladybug to assume Felix was working alongside Monarch, given he had previously attempted to form an alliance with him back in "Felix", rather than side with the heroes. But through every encounter they had with Felix, his motives have always remained a great mystery, including too Adrien, who grew up with Felix.
(Of course Felix worked alone and never planned to work alongside Monarch, he was merely a crucial part to his plans of obtaining the peacock miraculous(more here). )
Ordinarily, Ladybug was used to taking the time to understand her enemies, it was because of this level of understanding she developed over people like Monarch and his akumatized villains, that allowed her to figure out their next move and plan ahead. Although Ladybug believed Felix was no different than Monarch if he resorted to manipulating, deceiving and leaving others to suffer the consequences of his decisions, she could never truly understand who Felix was. She couldn't plan ahead and figure out what his next move would be, leaving her to only wonder why he did everything he did despite them posing no actual threat to him.
( Ladybug could not understand Felix.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Felix said he had plans to create a free world where no one would be excluded like he was, where no one would fall under anyone's control and be forced to abide by what others thought was right and wrong.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Of course listening to Felix's reasoning for wanting a free world was the last thing Ladybug ever wanted to do, he was after all, the one who made her lose everything, not just the kwamis and the miraculous, but faith in herself, along with the faith many people had in her. After losing all the miraculous to Monarch, Ladybug could not trust herself to be the guardian and the protector she promised to be for all those in Paris back in "Origins part 2". Worse yet, some citizens did not hesitate to proclaim to the world how much they believed Ladybug was not capable of being their protector, preferring to focus on the consequences of Monarch obtaining so much power from her one mistake, rather than look back on everything else she had done for the public that proved she was fit to be their hero.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(In "Determination, Ladybug was hesitant on making choices amidst a fight, believing there was reason to doubt herself and whether or not she could make the right choices.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Such a defeat from Monarch and such cruel words from the public, left Ladybug in a constant state of indecision, wondering if her choices over a matter would truly solve a problem or just make things worse, just as much as it did when she believed it was the correct choice to trust who she thought was Adrien (who was really Felix) with the dog miraculous back in "Strike Back".
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Of course Cat Noir was there by her side to help her remember what she was capable of, but that level of doubt she had over herself was not something she could ever truly stray away from, because unlike most people, her decisions decided the safety of millions. Facing Felix in "Emotion" gave her the opportunity to finally confront the person who left her with so much loss, but amidst being consumed by her own emotions, angered at everything Felix had done, she forgot that what she was searching for in a fight was not revenge, but a solution.
To Ladybug, the solution seemed obvious: use whatever her lucky charm gave her to help piece together a way to win against Felix, allowing her to take back the peacock miraculous and in turn undue everything he had done. But when the time came for her to rely on her abilities and use her powers of creation to find the solution that would lead the way to the victory she hoped to obtain, to her surprise, her powers gave her nothing.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
In all her time as a hero, Ladybug had never been in a battle where her powers of creation left her nothing, she had never been in a situation where she could not do anything to piece together a way to solve a problem that at times even seemed hopeless to solve.
Every problem has a solution, those words always resonated within Ladybug and everyone that knew her, but by being faced with a problem she had no chance of taking action against, left her realizing something she never thought to consider, which was that there was a solution to the problem in front of her, it just wasn't what she was hoping for. Her lucky charm gave her nothing, because that was exactly what she needed to do, nothing.
(Ladybug understand what the lucky charm was trying to tell her)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Alya always said all that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good people do nothing. To save the day against evil, Ladybug felt it was only right to do anything and everything she could to win for the sake of others. Doing nothing was never something she thought she would ever have to do, but she had to, because as much as she wanted to believe Felix was the evil one who needed to be stopped, to know that the only solution was nothing, left her wondering if she even knew what winning actually meant, now that her own plans of winning against Felix were not going to turn out the way she had hoped. As much as Ladybug wanted to win, it became abundantly clear she was NOT the one who was meant to stop Felix.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It pained Ladybug to admit it, but she had to accept she could not win against him, she could not take back the peacock miraculous and she could not undue what he had done, but she could still accomplish what she knew she could, and that was find a solution. After her lucky charm told her to do nothing, Ladybug could only focus on one thing and one thing only, Felix. Felix wasn't just the cause of the problem, he was also the solution.
(The only one who could put a stop to Felix and everything he had unleashed onto the world, was Felix. )
Tumblr media
Despite learning about his intentions to create a free world, Ladybug still couldn't understand why he wanted such a world due to one very crucial piece of information she did not yet know about him, and that was the fact that Felix was a senti human born from the power of the peacock miraculous, who had spent a lifetime being denied the freedom to live and make his own choices on what he wanted to do in his life.
Felix spoke of freedom and how much he wanted his new world to revolve around being freed from the control of others, but if freedom was all he wanted, then that's all Ladybug could leave him with. Ladybug had to leave Felix the freedom to decide if he wanted to stop himself, and if winning wasn't what she thought it would be, then chances are, it wouldn't be for Felix either, and it wasn't.
(Ladybug leaves Felix with the freedom to make his own choice.)

Who are they?
Was talking with some baby Miraculers(ages 6-11) about Lila and how we older audiences are trying to figure out where she is in every episode and how she is appearing. I relayed to the kids some ideas the older audiences have, like how Lila could've given herself shapeshifting powers, or that the social media "ZOO" has a butterfly community Lila is a part of to better gather helpers.
While the whole Lila giving herself shapeshifting powers sounded interesting to them, they agreed Lila would not try the same thing she did back in the London special, when her plan to write down Ladybugs identity failed, something she couldn't remember while she was akumatizing herself.
However, the possibility of Lila having helpers peaked their little brains, but added that this butterfly community, if it does exist, may be far worse than we realize. Those moments when we saw someone in the background following the characters and writing things down, that wasn't Lila.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
However, the person at the café in "Illustrihater" had to be Lila herself because of the chameleon themed drink ordered, which is what Lila is, the chameleon of the show.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
As for how they think Lila is appearing in every episode and where, well, they think that aside from taking on a new identity to be in the school again, it's not a matter of finding her physically appearing in public , but rather, how she is able to follow people without actually being there. They think Lila does have helpers following the other characters around, but Lila herself is also there with them, without actually being there.
I asked them how they think that's possible for someone like Lila to accomplish this, but they explained to me that its not humanly possible, but it is entirely possible if she used the butterfly miraculous.
Compared to Monarch, Lila has done some time to figure out how she can use the butterfly miraculous in ways Gabriel never thought to think of. If she could figure out how to make antikumas that can be shot out of the akumatized villains to cancel out a heroes powers, then they think Lila might have learned how to make use of the butterfly miraculous simplest ability, creating akumas and form a telepathic connection with a person the akuma is attached to. They think Lila is attaching her ultrakumas to notebooks and sending them out with helpers to take around the city, allowing her to not only see and hear what their hearing, even talk with them when she decides to check up on her helpers progress, but to also tell them who to follow so she can send the akuma out of the notebook to akumatize that person she's chosen.
The reason they think this is because they have not seen how Lila sends out her akumas into the city. If she's already nearby, like at the school, she'll send out an akuma herself. Gabriel raised the butterflies in his mansion and sent them out through the window, but we always see them in Lila's lair, the French catacombs, a place that's miles upon miles deep underground, which means someone might be taking them outside for her when she's down there!
Tumblr media
I asked them, "Why do you think people would be willing to help Lila even though she's a villain?", their response, "Because they think Monarch was a good guy and hate the heroes already(Reunion)", "A bad person can pretend their a good person, and that's what Lila does, A LOT"
My final question to them was, "So why is Lila writing again? and what's with the piles of notebooks in her lair?" They said, "Those aren't her notebooks, their her helpers" "She only writes the really good stuff from them if it helps her plan". But again, lets just wait and see what the show has to say.
This is just what they’re starting with. Other ideas they had were, these people are NOT associated with Lila, their actually from the council Nathalie and Gabriel were in, investigating Adrien’s friends. Another, they think Lila is forming a cult to worship her.

That’s one of the things I love about the show too, its willingness to stray from whatever norm people angrily demand to see in a show and instead do what no one expects, and then say, “Yeah, we did that, deal with it!”.😆

There must be something
Sure Adrien didn’t like the things his dad scheduled him for, but it did give him something to do each day. Now that he has the option to not do those things, he’s seeing just how empty his normal life truly is without a passion of his own. He has running now, but running to Adrien is not the same as it is for Sublime, it’s what he started doing whenever he wanted to just get away from his troubles for a while, troubles he would have no other choice but to start thinking about the moment he went back home with nothing to do.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
However, running feels right to him, so it’s clear running is that stepping stone he needs to figuring out what he likes and what he wants to do with his life, as he is also not sure of what career path he wants to follow when he is older.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Obviously he loves doing what he does when he is a hero, going out, finding a way to resolve problems, putting everything on the line to fight the good fight and help the people in need, all the while being quick on his feet to overcome whatever obstacle is literally thrown at him, it’s a passion all of its own too, but there must be things he can do similar to that when he is just Adrien.

Can’t blame Adrien for not wanting to go home, that mansion already has so many bad memories. But if I was Adrien, and found out my dad was the villain who kept my mother’s body underneath the house we all lived in, I would not want to live in that house anymore.

Diane being a lucky girl is definitely gonna come around once Marinette realizes she is her contrast. Marinette is clumsy and tends to attract chaos to her life, whereas Diane is equally clumsy but is blessed with luck to make her situation work out better for her.
Why did I now just realize those are four leaf clovers on her design and not a flower! 🍀
