I like the idea that if something ever happened to his kids, Blitzø would go full on Millie in EXES AND OOHS and just demolish the threat with whatever he has at his disposal, and as creatively as possible.

I had to slow this down to show how he actually looked more frustrated/annoyed for a split moment before going back to sad and depressed. I wouldn't even have noticed if I didn't go through this scene frame by frame. Ah, I just love the love of detail that went into this show, but it makes me sad that stuff like this is so easily missed.

OK but Stolitz from Fizz's perspective though...

There's this guy who was your best friend and crush when you were teens, but he maimed and abandoned you and now you hate his guts. 15 years later he shows up at the club where you work at and his date is a literal demon prince.

A couple of months later the two of you get kidnapped and literally the first thing you find out about his personal life is that he thinks what he has with the Prince is only fetishist sex. But it turns out the Prince is actually trying to spend time with this dude you hate, laughing at his jokes and commenting on his photos. Okay, so this asshole is in complete denial. Whatever. It's not like you care.

You get home that night and find out that the prince was actually at your house asking your partner for a powerful shiny rock as a present for your new rekindled friend because he has feelings for him. Wow, no surprises there. A few more months go by and your friend visits you and he's here to buy the most top-notch sex toys for his Prince. Aw, cute, does this mean your friend has finally realised they both have feelings for one another?

NOPE! Instead, two months later, you watch your friend almost get executed on live TV before the prince storms in, makes up a story about being a villain, and saves your friend's life, losing it all in the process!

I really relate to Blitz in the way he can never see the things he does for others as enough.

I know the general consensus is he doesn't realise how much he's changed other people's lives for the better, and I'm sure that's true to an extent (especially when it comes to Stolas, because he knows nothing about Stolas' life before their meeting as adults).

But personally, I see it more as a constant chase. A chase where, no matter how much good he brings to others' lives, it's simply never enough, because none of it can make up for the harm he feels he causes by just being in their lives. None of it makes up for the fact that he exists.

He suffered a childhood of abuse and neglect at the hands of his father, and was likely scapegoated his whole life. He probably grew up feeling fundamentally unlovable, like any care he could ever require (from food and clothing to love and compassion) were a burden and a hassle, and like he was only worthy of keeping around because he was useful. And then the accident happened, and he caused so many people an immense pain, and caused his mother's death. All because he dared to want something good for himself.

The amount of guilt and shame that would cause anyone... well. It can certainly have you spending the rest of your life trying to make up for existing. And every good thing that you do, no matter how life-altering it is for others... that's really just the bare minimum you could do to compensate for the fact that you're in their lives at all.

And when you feel like your mere existence is a crime, one which you keep committing with every moment that you continue to live on... well, there is really only one way to finally make up for it for good, isn't there?

I have this idea of like. This meme that goes around for different fandoms where there's 4 characters and 3 of them are saying shit like "remember that you are loved. It's okay to make mistakes" but then one of them is saying "murder is okay". But with the IMP crew. And the four of them are saying "murder is okay"

With all the different types of representation we get in Helluva Boss, I wonder why we don't have nonbinary representation yet?

My thoughts of why not yet are:

-They want to do it right

-They need a nonbinary person to consult them on it

-They just haven't thought about it

Of course, I'm someone who is nonbinary myself and wants my favorite show to reflect myself more in it. And I'm the type of person that sees a show with so much acceptance of being who you are, like helluva boss, as somewhere that is ripe with potential for a nonbinary character.

However, I do understand that they may want to take their time to understand and do it right before introducing a whole character that fans will relate to.

Overall, I'm looking forward to there being one in the future.

Just the idea of Stolas's passion, something that used to be one of the few sources of joy, something that was truly his and positive in that palace.

And continuing that hobby in Blitz's place, so it can truly bloom freely 🥹💖🌸

If he incorporates it into their relationship, & it truly means something - cause it's Blitz that let him take that freedom!
