NINI i just had the greatest idea ever. You see how in the postmortem shane was making fun of Ryan abt wanting to smooch a ghost and mentioned Casper??? Omg, idk why but my mind went whoosh and remembered that crazy 99’s Casper film where the girl falls in love with Casper and it’s sad ig??? I don’t remember the ending that well besides the fact the dance together. Anyway!!! What abt a Casper au with the boys, the ghost being shane of course odyodyddujccuccoc thoughts???

Aww, man. Funny enough, that was one of my favorite movies growing up. Probably because I highkey had a crush on Christina Richie, but fnjnfwisni I remember it flondy and this part! This part you mention was my favorite.

So yeah, imagine like– Shane used to live in the apartment Ryan just moved in. And he is kind of playfull guest and at first, Ryan is not so fond of him. He eventually gets used to Shane being a little shit and also, Shane gets used to Ryan being there and acting like if he actually wants to communicate with him.

The more Ryan believes in him, the more Ryan can see.

It starts to be a shape, slowly becomes a more translucent thingy until Ryan can make up his face and know where to talk to when they are having some sort of conversation, until one day, Shane can finally talk to him and so, his ghostie roommate becomes kind of his best friend.

But Shane has stronger feelings than he thought he could. It makes him… so fucking sad. And so Ryan starts to date, sometimes he brings his dates home and Shane has to leave the apartment because he can’t take it. 

There are times he actually went as far as to make jokes on the people Ryan is seeing or brings for a fun night, and it’s not until Ryan gets mad at him that he understands he can’t act like this, it’s cringy as fuck and so unfair to Ryan, so he just keeps leaving the apartment and realizes he is not like the other ghosts.

Most of them are either invisible or even just little lights. And one night, he finally meets a ghost like him, Kelsey, who tells him another ghost who has since passed onto the other world, told her that as long as someone loves him in this world and he still has something to do/to finish, he’ll get more visible or real. She has her girlfriend Sara who is still mouring her and she’s still searching for what is she supposed to be doing to finally pass the light.

Seeing that the person who has made him ‘real’ is Ryan, Shane stays with him and understands that, even if he can’t love him That Way, Ryan does cares for him and it’s his love that keeps him in this state while he tries to understand what is he supposed to do himself.

On Halloween night, as Shane and Kelsey are watching Ryan and Sara on the building’s party, they are visited by the angel that guards their region. They tell them it’s time for Kelsey to go and gives her one last chance to see her girlfriend and say goodbye, since Sara never got to say goodbye to her when her accident happened.

Shane sees as she gets to be physical one last time and watches with the angel as the girls say goodbye. He wonders when will he have that chance, he would love to touch Ryan. That night, when he gets into the apartment to see if Ryan is home, he hears him talking to the Día de Muertos altar he put up for the next two days. 

He is telling his grandma about Shane. About what he had learned of Shane when he was alive and how he thought he was getting crazy when he first met him. He is dressing up for a party as he is speaking and hasn’t noticed Shane is floating right there. But he tells his grandma that he thinks he is in love with Shane, and it makes him feel ridiculous, because he knwos he can’t be in love with a ghost.

Suddenly, Shane falls. He actually falls into the carpet in the living room, making a noise and feeling pain for the first time in months since he died. When Ryan gets to the living room, he sees them on the floor and they just look at each other in silence because– Shane is physical now. He is an actual person again.

“You have until midnight”, he hears the voice of the angel in his head. He has a few hours, Shane confirms when he sees his watch actually works again.

Ryan is still staring, but he has walked over to where Shane is standing and pokes him with a finger, murmuring “Holy fuck, I have lost it…”

“Uh, no? Ah… the angel that… picks up the souls said I had until midnight to–”

But Ryan is kissing him, like no more questions asked, he is being kissed by this gorgeous man he has been living with for months now, and who he absolutely loves and can’t be with in this life. He has been given a gift here, though.

Shane suspects it means he will be saying goodbye at midnight, but if he can have this night, then he wants to take it and enjoy it before he has to go to the other side. And as it seems, Ryan believes the same and takes him hand before going for a hug.

None of them know what will happen at midnight, but these four hours are everything Shane could wish for.

I see that you like Practical Magic so kelra AU where instead of sisters, they are childhood friends and make the blood pact of dying together, etc. Kelsey would be like Gilly and Sara like Sally. Kelsey comes back into Sara's life after calling for help. Sara's love spell was always about Kelsey and she just didn't notice that she had grown up to be the person she had imagined in her spell.

I've been thinking of you Spiderverse AU and how do you think Shane and Kelsey would react to each other? Are Ryan and Shane married by the time Kelsey and Sara make it into LA?

My plan is that Kelsey would be nervous at first to go out and help knowing the Original™ Spider-man is around, so when she makes her instagram account to announce she will be moving cities too, she’s surprised to be approached by the guy himself.

They are supposed to meet around two weeks after she and Sara have moved, and at first they are both super awkward and don’t show each other their faces. Shane’s mostly excited that there’s another Spider-person in town (and in general) and starts talking about her techniques and how she’s better than him, and Kelsey lowkey wants to cry.

She tells him he has been such an inspiration for her and that maybe they should hang out more and team up, they give each other their numbers in case one ever needs help with something, and Shane gives her a little “guide” he made of the villains in town, the best fast food restaurants and taco trucks, and the best spots for fan interaction and others for peace and quiet.

Kelsey thinks he is so cool.

Meanwhile, Shane spends a long time telling Ryan back at home how cool Spider-Woman is, and he notices Shane is a little worried about how young she sounds. Ryan reminds him tha the started as Spider-man younger and that she’s been at it for a year now, she knows what she’s doing.

Still, Shane seems happy to have meet her and Ryan shares his excitment and tells him that if one day they reveal their identities, he would like to meet her, too. 

Cut to BuzzFeed a few days later, Sara has befriended Shane and hangs out with him, Ryan and the Unsolved team for lunch. One day Kelsey visits her and sits down to eat with them, the second Shane laughs, she recognizes him and Shane’s spider-sense immediatelly reacts to her surprise. They just look at each other with blank expressions, Ryan notices how tense Shane has gotten and tries to distract him the best he can.

Later, when it’s just the four of them, Shane awkwardly asks about what she does for a living, when she answers something about ‘dancing in the air’, he laughs and says he knows all about that. Sara picks up on it, “YOU ARE SPIDER-MAN?!”

“Sure, yell in the rooftops, it’s not like if 50 people would love to kill me to hurt him.” Ryan says, the sarcasm and tired tone not lost to anyone. Shane smiles at him anyway, and at least now he has someone who understands his constant battle between being so proud of Shane and being so worried for him.

They’ve been married for two years now, and the sight of it makes Kelsey kinda happy because she had been worried her lifestyle and decisions may make her and Sara to drift apart. When Ryan clears the topic, that he hasn’t actually been put in danger not even once, because with all his silliness and awkwardness, Shane knows how to keep a secret, both Sara and Kelsey feel better than ever that their relationship can and will succeed.

OKAY SO

Sara had a crush on Kelsey when she was an intern and the other girls would make fun of her because SHE’S SUCH A CLICHÉ but at the same time would be lowkey hoping they could work out because they would be SO cute together.

Once they get together, she never tells Kelsey about this, so one day Hannah accidentally says so during dinner at Girls’ Night and she goes red in the face to the point they think she may be having a heart attack or something. She thinks Kelsey may not want her anymore, because that’s kinda creepy, right? When Kelsey hears this, she just stares at her for a whole minute before giggling like a maniac,

“God, I love you” she says for the first time that night in the bathroom of some cheap restaurant they all chose so they could actually drink wine and eat something descent. It may look not so romantic, but the way they smile at each other as they share that moment, it’s perfect.

It costed them a little to get Chewie and Obi to get together, but eventually they learned. YB helped a lot since she has a dog and a cat who LOVE each other. They may not really love each other that much, but it’s good and eventually, they do.

The first time Sara went to Kelsey’s, Chewie peed on her purse for marking purposes and God, it couldn’t get more awkward.

Except it did, because of course: as they were making out, Kelsey’s mother invited herself into the apartment and found her daughter on top some random girl she doesn’t know.

First time meeting the parents, even after that start, went actually good. Kelsey’s mom is lowkey happy her daughter is finally not single. Kelsey wants to die a little.

Their first trip together was to Italy. Sara kept making Fancy™ jokes on instagram about drinking wine and the view.

People found out about them almost by accident, since Sara walked in during one of Kelsey’s streams on her pajamas (more like, on Kelsey’s clothes) and even when she tried to cut it, EVERYONE saw.

She got some bullshit from the gamer community, especially 40 something white dudes that claim ownership on her and stuff, but Sara’s FUCK YOU natural response inspired her to not give a flying fuck. Buzz/Fe*d supported them just fine.

“I made my girlfriend play Overwatch for the first time!” videos on Kelsey’s channel, and “I made my girlfriend cosplay with me for the first time!” things and “Convinced Sara of working out with me!” and in all Sara is like– dying, but also happy to please.

“Switched styles with my girlfriend” and “Switched hair products with my girlfriend for a week” videos on As/Is staring Sara and Kelsey. And Kelsey randomly popping in some of her videos, or people recognizing things of Kelsey on Sara’s videos before they moved in together.

Art student Sara having to draw Kelsey who is posing naked for the class and she's mclosing it

I would be McLose it too if I was her, let’s be honest.

She is very profesional at first and glances up only when she has to, but Kelsey keeps smiling at her every time Sara gets lost looking at this particular birthmark near her pelvis because she wants to get it perfect, every single detail, but Kelsey thinks she is just staring because she thinks she is pretty.

I mean she isn’t wrong, but that was not the intention!

At the end of the session, Kelsey goes to her station with the excuse of seeing her piece and Sara acts all awkward and a bit distant. Kelsey goes, confused about the signals this girl was sending her and how she behaved after.

The next time, Sara stares on purpose and tells herself she is going to be braver and more bold this time. She keeps telling herself this until Kelsey is right in front of her on a robe and she can’t speak, acts all awkward and super shy, but at least this time Kelsey realizes she is just that: shy.

When they see each other next, Sara has gotten a great grade for her piece and shoves it into Kelsey’s face saying she can have it if she wants. Kelsey tells her she’ll take it if he can invite her a coffee.

They go together to the near starbucks and talk all afternoon. Kelsey forgets the painting, so Sara calls her and she asks if she can drop it at the museum. They end up going around the place and having lunch, Kelsey forgets again.

By the time it has happened five times, Sara tells her: “I can’t keep carrying a naked lady around, so can we… stop using it as an excuse to see each other?”

“I’m more than happy.”

Eventually, there’s naked lady in Sara’s studio in their apartment when they start living together :)

Maybe she starts actually watching them but she always ends up drawing or something. She thinks that they are so long, maybe she can use some of that time when nothing too important is happening in the game to do a few other things.

One day when they are together and Sara has given Kelsey one of her keys and she comes home to find her smol girlfriend super into her sketches to the point she doesn’t notice she still has Kelsey’s stream on.

At first, Kelsey teases it with it, but ends up sending kisses and I love yous to “my girlfriend that draws and works while listening to me play videogames!” and everyone thinks it’s super cute too.
