You're telling me I'll never get to call her again or make her laugh or give her a hug or talk to her about her favorite musicians or heart her spat facts or see her ash her cigarette or see her smile or be mad at her or argue with her or go on roadtrips with her or watch Tales From the Darkside with her or play cards with her or be able to sing and dance with her or smell her rave hairspray and Charlie perfume or sit beside her
Ever again?
You're telling me it will never happen again and I can't even cry to her about it?
If I could shoot God himself, I would

Black dress and yellow roses on my lap
96 miles an hour and no roadmap
I can't outrun this and I can't turn to you
The sun receding, you did always love blue

saw a mother and teenage daughter arguing in line at the grocery store and i just wanted to take the girl by the shoulders and tell her, please, these moments matter. don't waste it arguing. i know you don't know this and it's not your fault but one day going to the grocery store with your mom is going to be a moment you replay in your head a million times so you can remind yourself that it was real. the she was real. that she cared enough to argue. please. it will matter more than you can possibly imagine.
