"Approximately half (53%) of young Americans indicate they will 'definitely be voting' in the 2024 general election for president."
Please, let's do better than 53%!

H.R. 7645 — Clothes Dryers Reliability Act

Pay attention--this really matters. Whatever you think of Biden himself, his administration is doing great stuff. Please vote blue.
Don't usually share work stuff but I do work in climate policy and nearly every memo I write includes some variation of "government funding for this obscure but necessary area of climate mitigation research has been multiplied (sometimes by like, 1000x) under the Biden Administration" and while I know the oil permitting stuff is much splashier news there's a whole world of work that needs to be done under the surface that Biden is doing. And if he doesn't win in 2024 all that progress goes away and the climate is absolutely fucked

The Logan Act, passed in 1799
“Any citizen of the United States, wherever he may be, who, without authority of the United States, directly or indirectly commences or carries on any correspondence or intercourse with any foreign government or any officer or agent thereof, with intent to influence the measures or conduct of any foreign government or of any officer or agent thereof, in relation to any disputes or controversies with the United States, or to defeat the measures of the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both.”
Also,
"Richard Grenell, an extremist who served as Trump’s acting director of national intelligence, has been traveling around the world to meet with far-right foreign leaders, 'acting as a kind of shadow secretary of state, meeting with far-right leaders and movements, pledging Trump’s support and, at times, working against the current administration’s policies.'”

"Several Republican-led states have filed a lawsuit against the Biden administration over its plan to provide relief to millions of Americans burdened by student loan debt, accusing President Joe Biden of bypassing Congress and exceeding his authority."
Because that's a great way to get people with student debt to vote Republican?

Timely Words from a Republican
“We lead the world because, unique among nations, we draw our people—our strength—from every country and every corner of the world. And by doing so we continuously renew and enrich our nation…. Thanks to each wave of new arrivals to this land of opportunity, we're a nation forever young, forever bursting with energy and new ideas, and always on the cutting edge, always leading the world to the next frontier. This quality is vital to our future as a nation. If we ever closed the door to new Americans, our leadership in the world would soon be lost.” – Ronald Reagan, 1989

"Sen. Blake Miguez, R-New Iberia, filed the legislation. He says the bill is a practical solution to crime because it will put 'law-abiding citizens on an equal footing with violent criminals.'”
Arming seventeen-year-olds without requiring training or a permit. What could possibly go wrong?

This is very long, but it's a summary of nearly 900 pages. Just skim the bullet points in bold, if you can stand it.

Big Surprise?
"...What they do now is disgraceful. Everyone associated with this travesty will go down in history as scoundrels and arsonists who try to demolish our justice system, shatter our most sacred traditions and wipe out the very foundations of our democracy for their own selfish, partisan gain and probably other reasons that we’ll never know. –Donald Trump at a Save America rally in Ohio
Trump, like everyone else, characterizes our system of government as a democracy (as far as my research shows, he has never used the term "constitutional republic"). Quibbling about the "proper term" is beside the point and does not speak to the argument.

Be Careful What You Wish For
Joe Biden is a Christian and a very moral person. But, if the Supreme Court decides that a sitting president does indeed have absolute immunity, what's to stop Joe (other than his moral compass) from sending Seal Team 6 to eliminate DT right before early voting starts?
Think about it. DT is betting his life on Joe being a good person, and it's a perfectly safe bet. Ironic...

V.P. Kamala Harris Lays It Out
“Donald Trump is a threat to our democracy and our fundamental freedoms. He is proud of his role in overturning Roe, and has talked openly about plans for a nationwide abortion ban. He routinely praises authoritarian leaders and has himself vowed to be a dictator on Day One. Just this week, he said that cuts to Social Security and Medicare would be on the table if he receives a second term. Each of these stances ought to be considered disqualifying by itself; taken together, they reveal the former President to be an existential danger to our country.
“With his State of the Union speech last week, President Biden passionately presented our alternative vision. We will reduce costs for families, make housing more affordable, and raise the minimum wage. We will restore Roe, protect voting rights, and finally address our gun violence epidemic.
