It's been a while but I HAD to come back on here to praise this beautiful song. 2024 has really only just started and there's already a dark synth-y song on my radar (see the above!!)
If you love the electronic/new wave sounds of the 80s, darkwave, synthwave, and/or moody pop, I'm sure you will enjoy this one. Allie's vocals are gorgeous and perfectly replicate the passionate vocal style popularised by many female artists in the 80s. The moody synth backing track compliments her singing style well and makes you feel like you've travelled back in time!
Furthermore, the lyrics really resonated with me as a woman that has had experiences with my own body insecurities.
In conclusion, I highly recommend giving this song a listen <3

PLEASE this is the only thing that would ever convince me to willingly watch the met gala
the met gala is on monday so I’m reintroducing the idea that the crowd should get to decide whether or not a celebrity followed the theme & if the popular vote is no they get a bucket of nickelodeon green slime poured over their head

I've started listening to Harsh Symmetry beyond his occasional appearance in my darkwave playlists. Hoping for more music soon but in the meantime, I definitely recommend him if you're into darkwave (or any similar subgenres really) ~

Toys Went Berserk - Have No More (1989)
Toys Went Berserk were a late 80s post punk band from Sydney, Australia. They released two albums before disbanding in 1992. They're one of many bands that were a part of Australia's 80s & 90s indie scene.
I found this specific song while watching old VHS recordings of ABC's Rage and was pleased to see it was already uploaded to YouTube! I adore Coo's vocal style and the gloomy instrumentals that accompany her voice. I consider this to be one of my all time favourite songs :)
