Note: I may have gotten a little caught up in the idea of dueling stories. Henry’s is in words. Alex, however, is a more visual person. 😂

Everyone’s too busy celebrating or doing interviews to see them slip out the back door. He trades Liam and Spencer the promise of a six-pack for their bikes, and Henry doesn’t ask questions, just kicks the stand out and disappears into the night behind him.

This is one of my favourite scenes in the book. It’s just. So good.

So March is the birthday month for both Alex and Henry, and rather than do separate art for each, I held a wee poll on Twitter to see what scene people wanted to see drawn out most in hopes I could combine my efforts and do a comic adaptation of it. When this moment of the book won by a landslide, I instantly knew I was going to pay for my folly. This scene was a beast to draw and took the entire month to paint thanks to a) royal bedroom, b) soaking wet Alex, c) nighttime lighting, and d) ANGST FACES.

But hey! I hunkered down and pulled it together right under the wire. I hope you enjoy how this came out. ❤️💙

Last fanart of the decade, folks. It seemed fitting to wrap up 2019 with this iconic New Year’s Eve kiss from Red, White and Royal Blue seeing as it technically happens tonight!

Trying not to cry in the Starbucks as I write this... This decade was game-changing, but 2019 most of all. I could never have imagined the path my life would take when I started drawing again, and you’re all a part of that. Thank you endlessly for all your love and support, and here’s to 2020 being even better! (Also, Alex and Henry wouldn’t want us to forget: it’s an election year. 😉)
