If you missed the streams, here's the edited version of my Chapter 4 playthrough! Rift 8 progress is pluggin' along. I believe there's just the boss fight, credits, and postcredits left as well as adding sound.

After some battles with copyright tomfoolery, my blind Chapter 4 Deltarune playthrough is finally up! This playthrough includes the secret boss, egg, and a lot of poking around and exploring.

What was the reason for Toriel in IF to not go immediately to the Ruins after the war declaration, like she did in the original timeline?

Gerson talked her out of it and advised her to try and talk Asgore down from his war declaration.

Please do not send me asks about proship/antiship discourse. They will be deleted. I'm too old, busy, and tired to really get involved in that kind of thing and I also don't want creator drama being brought to this blog. This is also why I delete asks that are teardowns of fanworks at this point. If you are uncomfortable with a creator or a fanwork, it's simple enough to block/filter/avoid that creator. So what's your general stance on newer official UT/DR content contradicting what you've already set up in Inverted Fate? Like IF Azzy being AroAce but DR Azzy being strongly implied to have been in a relationship with Dess Holiday (also the running gag about him being enamored with lizard girls).

I don't especially care. IF has been in the works for a long time and with ongoing works like Deltarune, it's not like we can see the future. (It does seem like Dess liked the How to Draw Dragons book as well, so. :P Maybe the book never got returned because it was something they shared.) Either way, it's not a huge deal to me.

Hi, really big fan on Inverted Fate. Think I'm on my, what, 3rd, 4th, maybe even 5th rerun? However, when I started my rerun today, I kind of noticed that navigation kind of seems to be...broken? I'll often have to click 2-4+ times just to get to the next scene, and that often will skip dialogue. Also sometimes the dialogue will be all mixed up and in the wrong places...kinda hard to enjoy all the pre-video chapters, so I just wanted to let you know cause if I'm having this issue others are probably too.

I'll let Nisha know. Are you on mobile, perchance? If so, the website definitely functions better on desktop. Clicking multiple times generally will cause issues, and it's better to wait or refresh the page and try again. It's a pretty old site, and Nisha isn't doing as much web development these days. Eventually, we hope to do a downloadable version like the Homestuck project that recreates the old website with flashes, etc. That just has to wait until we're finished.

Possibly too spoilerific of a question to answer properly, but I'll give it a shot. I think it's been said previously that Asriel will eventually turn back into Flowey as a definite thing, but it's an /if/ on him being redeemed.

What does that mean with redemption, exactly? Is it more meant to say that the post-story Asriel/Flowey remains a bitter and villainous schemer who's burned every bridge both real and potential with just about the whole Underground? Or does it imply something darker - where Asriel's 'inverted fate' means that he's figuratively swapped out his respective fates from canon's TruePac and Geno, thus dooming himself to die for good?

I think you may be talking about some discourse a while back because I got some really aggressive anons who were acting like Flowey doesn't deserve redemption. It would be against the spirit of Undertale if he got a downer fate. However, what IS left to be revealed is how other characters will react to his actions. ...That being said, Frisk was extremely hurt by Flowey and I don't plan to brush that aside.

Liz and I have been sick, so work on IF is slow going, but nonetheless, here's a juicy analysis of the new Deltarune update and lore!

This is HOURS later than I intended, but I was a sleepy dork, and there was a ton to unpack and analyze! At any rate, here's my video breaking down the newsletter and brand new Spamtons Sweepstakes pages, with a mix of blind reactions and analysis after the fact. Deltarune real... I had a lot to say!

The Deltarune release trailer dropped in today's Nintendo Switch 2 Direct, and we got a new newsletter and screenshots on the Steam page to top it all off! There's a lot to break down, so join me as I comb through everything to analyze and theorize what the new chapters hold!

Yep! Since we're no longer limited by scratch, we can include both in the same package.

Why is so sorry being removed from battle of the ages? Did someone happen with him or his creator?

So Sorry's creator was involved in an online cult called Flor/averse, which is heavily involved with zooph*lia and CSEM materials, among other things. They are an admin in the discord server and thus complicit in the goings on there. You can find out more here. We simply aren't comfortable keeping the character because of that and will probably have to make adjustments to other chapters eventually. NOTE: This is not an invitation to bring discourse to this blog. The ONLY reason I am mentioning this here is for transparency regarding the Battle of the Ages remaster.
