We talk about abusers and victims as “he or she,” ignoring statistics that show that it’s overwhelmingly male-on-female. When we talk about the issue, we try to make sure we aren’t hurting men’s feelings with too much truth-telling. Has this broadened and strengthened our movement? No, not a bit. The domestic violence movement is far weaker than it was twenty years ago, not stronger. Many, many of the gains that we made are now being stripped away, more every year. (Women’s rights in general are being stripped away in our times, as you have most likely noticed.)”

“Don’t be apologetic about making women your agenda. Don’t apologize for putting women’s needs and rights front and center. When someone tells you that you should be talking about male victims too, I encourage you to respond, “There are hundreds of issues in this world that need to be addressed. Are you saying that I can’t address what happens to women unless I also address every other wrong that happens in the world? Why isn’t it okay to make women my focus?””

I guess? But at the same time I don't see the point in wasting our energy on women who don't even want rights anyway. Like, what use could a pro life Christian housewife be to the feminist movement?

also the fact that porn is often embedded in some sort of daily scenario instead of at least just showing sexual acts should worry more people.

why do men need to see boss and employee? delivery guy/post man/whatever and woman home alone? or even worse, teacher and student? stepdad and stepdaughter?

it is not just about the arousal of watching sexual acts being performed, they need to see women being available at any time, they want to imagine themselves just „taking“ random women, even the women (and girls) closest to them. also notice how many times there is some type of authority involved?

makes you wonder how many men you encounter in daily situations, even within your family or friend circle, at work, when you order something, really dont see you as a woman, as a person, but as a mere object for their sexual fantasies.

especially considering how often these situations actually happen, and how often there is sexual assault involved.

I think the reaction to young men who’s problem is clearly that they’ve grown up feeling entitled to women catering to their every needs and being given the impression that they’re automatically superior to the girls around them who have then run into backlash about those beliefs and gone into alt right online spaces as a result being that actually we should coddle them more is very odd and I would say I can’t believe so many left wing people think that the answer to coddled young men is coddling them more but unfortunately I very much can
