Whoops, dropped my bingo card. Anyway. Jackbox Direct. Overview. Let’s go.
youtube
Despite being titled a Jackbox Direct, the video takes more the form of a four-minute announcement detailing the company’s plans for 2025. In it, work-in-progress versions for the five games in The Jackbox Party Pack 11, as well as a trailer for the standalone game Trivia Murder Party 3, were shown off:

- Directed by Warren Arnold, a cooperative trivia game featuring dungeon crawling elements.

- Directed by Tim Sniffen, a social deduction game revolving around figuring out who players did what crimes based on their device inputs.

- Directed by Brooke Breit, a writing comedy game involving twisting wholesome scenarios.

- Directed by Alina Constantin, a game that will involve using the microphone on your device to create sound effects.

- Directed by Chase McClure, a “cozy” drawing involving making drawings based on characters’ requests. Commentary surrounding this game hints toward it taking place in a cafe or restaurant of some kind.

- And the biggest and most finished reveal, the standalone Trivia Murder Party 3, with a camping setting and non-phone online matchmaking.

Hey Lee, thanks for showing interest in submitting! For some reason I can’t view my asks, not sure why I had an askbox open when I already had submissions. So if you could submit what you already sent but this time as a submission, that would be cool. Thanks!
Gonna take a hiatus while I gather more content and figure out what to do with this blog. Probably gonna a couple days, maybe a week. I’ll see what I can find in the games I have.

According to director Mark Turowetz, key design decisions of The Wheel of Enormous Proportions (P8) were decided by spinning a wheel, with a possible alternate title for the game being Uncle Spinny and the Mountain of Thinkishness.
Early in development, the spinning section of the game would have only ended if the spinning player landed a skull. During one QA test session, this section went on for 50 minutes.
“Legend has it, our missing QA team is still spinning that wheel to this very day. They are endlessly trapped in a Jumanji-esque nightmare - spinning the wheel, desperate to land on skull, but doomed to always fall short.” -Mark Turowetz

Not sure what else to say; this blog post title basically sums it up. Pretty sure it was a promotional thing.

Yep, that's the image that shows up in Split the Room (P5) for a split second when censoring a prompt. it's stored in the same action file as the cutscene skip animation. Yep, that's the one.

According to April Dizon, lead engineer for FixyText, Jackbox Games only works on one main patch after the release of a game before moving on to the next project. Further patches are only made if a serious bug is found, or if Jackbox requests it:
“After a Pack releases, we start working on our patch. We address features, bugs, and polish that we didn't have time for during the production cycle. All of us keep our eyes out for any new bugs that arise as the games are live, and we try to fix those too. After the patch is completed and live, we focus on our next game to work on! We normally only work on an older pack when QA and customer service identifies a critical bug, or the studio wants to release a new feature like localized content.”

They have only starting patching games recently, from the alluded-to localization update for The Jackbox Party Pack 9, the content updates for Pack 10, Survey Scramble and Naughty Pack, and a difficulty adjustment for Pack 2’s Bomb Corp.

Each game of You Don't Know Jack: Full Stream (P5) is randomized using what is internally referred to as an "episode skeleton", which dictate which type of question is played in order, and can also refer to questions by ID to force them to play instead of a random one. This can be done to create questions following up from previous questions, or to create an "episode" with a continuous story, such as the Escape the Simulation episode and, pictured above, the Jimmy Fallon episode. The game features 68 skeletons, with these types of episodes being rarer as a result.

On Twitch, The Jackbox Party Pack series is grouped as a whole under the category of “Jackbox Party Packs”. This also includes Drawful 2. The Jackbox Naughty Pack, to separate itself from and prevent confusion with the other, more family-friendly entries in the series, is represented by its own category. The Jackbox Survey Scramble also has a dedicated category, although why it has a separate category instead of Drawful 2, which is also not part of The Jackbox Party Pack series, is unknown.

A rare episode skeleton in You Don’t Know Jack: Full Stream (P5) features an guest appearance by Jimmy Fallon, who reads his own question before proceeding to interrupt Cookie throughout the course of the game. Director Arnie Niekamp recalls moving to New York to record with Fallon and Tom Gottlieb in NBC Studios.
Fallon considers himself to be a fan of Jackbox Games; prior to this cameo, Fallon played a game of Quiplash 2 in December 2017 with Steve Higgins and the members of The Roots.

Didn't get around to posting at 1, so let's make this a quick and dirty You Don't Know Jack: Full Stream (P5) double feature:
The action project files for the game feature leftover assets for what appears to be a very early prototype of the game, pictured below, featuring eight players and a crudely drawn "SCREW ME" sign.
In related news, the content files for the aforementioned game, as well as the other ones in The Jackbox Party Pack 5, feature subtitles for the dialogue audio. I'm not sure if similar captions exist for non-content (i.e. Binjpipe's menu dialogue) audio.
As evidenced by the subtitles in the data file for this question's voice line, which features voice direction for Cookie's voice actor Tom Gottlieb and uncensored dialogue, these may simply be remnants from the game's script.
Cookie: (kind of over the top like this is going to be a great quesiton) Imagine Jon Hamm got trapped inside the Bukkowski book Ham on Rye… Jimmy: [laughs] Yeah. Great premise. Cookie: You scared the shit out of me. Jimmy: Could I do another question? Cookie: [fast sort of frustrated noise]

One of the hosts for Mad Verse City (P5), Shadowmaster MC, is a real life rapper in Chicago. He was recruited by the Jackbox team, and audio lead Andy Poland recalls Shadowmaster improvising his own rap over Poland’s beat for the game’s theme song. Director Ben Jacobs “got emotional” over it.

Trivia Murder Party (P3) BTS post grab bag:

- Here are a couple of early designs for the game’s avatars, likely by art director Dave Innis.
- Prior to Spencer Ham playing the role of [REDACTED], audio editorial Andy Poland was planned to host the game, but due to “time constraints” was unable to.
- Ham’s peppy delivery, according to him, was caused by an alternative music radio station signal that he could hear in his recording booth.
