"But why have the asshole persona? I get being cocky. You're our best pilot. You deserve to be a little cocky, but you're a genuinely kind person. You don't need to pretend otherwise." Allea would never understand why people pretended to be something they weren't.
"Thank you for getting the part, I appreciate it, and I'm sure Rey will too."
❛ guess what? ❜ (Poe) @meaningful-negativity
"You flooded the Falcon's compressor and Rey yelled at you about it, and now you want to complain to me about Rey yelling at you?" Allea didn't look up from what she was working on.

The red-haired Skywalker nodded.
A year ago, she would have listed Ben's name alongside Jacen's, but Ben was gone, yet Jacen remained.
"We'll always be best friends. Even when we're old, promise?"
"Jace... You're my best friend in the entire galaxy." (Jacen)
“Really Lea? You mean it? Cause you’re my best friend too!”

"I don't take pleasure in it." There would be a part of her that would remember the cousin she grew up with, the boy who was like her older brother and weep, try as she might Allea couldn’t quite separate Ben from Kylo.
"Leia doesn't either. She fights the First Order because it's the right thing to do, but it grieves her. Don't think for a moment it doesn't." Allea pursed her lips for a moment. She knew she was lucky to find safety with Leia in a way Rey hadn't been.
"That first year or so, we weren’t at war, Leia hoped to resolve this without having to form the Resistance. She wanted to spare me the fight. But that obviously didn't work out."

@jedischild asked ❛ don't move. ❜ (For Poe or Rey either would be awesome!)
Rey looks at her then at the ground where she was going to put her foot and laying there was the part that they needed to get the Falcon back up and running. "Thanks, it took me quite a while to get that so stepping on it and crushing it would be a very bad idea." She picks up the part off the floor and walks over to her "You have good reflexes, and you know one of the rules of the Jedi or anyone who wants to live really, know your surroundings."

The dark bruising was enough of a clue, Allea didn't need to probe them or reach out with the Force to know that at least one rib was broken.
Swearing under her breath, Allea turned to the medical droid.
"Emdee, prepare a bacta tank." The little droid chirped happily and went off to do as it had been told.
"You broke at least one rib, you're going to need to be put in a bacta tank, and then rest for awhile." No one ever took the news that they needed to go into a bacta tank well, but something told Allea that Peter Quill was going to fight her on this.
"You have two options, I sedate you, or you go willingly, pick one."
"They're with other medics, they're alright just a little more roughed up than you." When he said his ribs hurt, Allea frowned, that did not bode well.
"May I see?" Allea asked gesturing for Peter to lift his arms so she could lift his shirt and inspect his ribs. Though something told her that what she was about to find was going to be serious. Maybe it was the Force at work.
MD-642 beeped at her, inquiring about if she needed help.
"Not yet, Emdee. Stand by." She said gently lifting the garment and frowing at the injuries she was seeing. They were serious, but not the type of serious injury one usually saw in a crash like Peter had been through.
"Were you the pilot?"

Allea took her time thanking the Force, for the first time in so long, Allea reached out into the Force.
And nearly sobbed when she wasn't met with emptiness, she could feel the Force like a heartbeat. Rey's signature in the hut burning bright, she wasn't alone here.
"I don't know if your out there, but Mama if you're watching over me, I'm going to make you proud... I promise." Getting up Allea went back inside the hut and settled down for the night, though she didn't sleep much.
Before the sun rose, she was up and dressed and cooking breakfast for herself and Rey. As excited as she was to train again she knew showing up early would only make her anxious.
"Hi, Papa... it's been a long time." (Luke)
Luke hadnt forgiven himself for that night, not only did he fail in the eyes of the force, but so many had died and paid the price. He especially hated himself for going into this nephew's hut that night, he was the sole reason why things were happening the way they were happening now. He was a disgrace to the name jedi, he wasnt even considering himself a jedi. A jedi wouldnt have gone to slay a youngling because of a passing vibe in the force, he knew it was a test and it was a test that he spectacularly failed.
When the door to his hut busted open at the hands of a familiar wookie roaring in frustration he was confused and a little nervous, however that was when he saw his daughter he was stunned. Luke was almost instantly transported back to that night, "Allea..." Luke breathed out barely above a whisper, "Youre.. here..." he said almost as if he wasnt believing his eyes that his daughter was really here, the last remnant of a time when he was last truly happy in his life.

"It would just be like old times," Allea smiled, as younglings she could remember trailing behind her cousin begging for him to teach her more advanced tricks than she was ready for.
"Except this time, you'll actually teach me something." Letting the stones fall back to the earth, Allea smiled and reached out to squeeze Ben's shoulder.
"I haven't said it yet, but it's good to have you back... I've missed you."
Allea smiled and reached out into the Force, harnessing it so that a few rocks by her feet began to float.
"Building my stamina, I haven't used the Force in a long time. Rey says when I finish my training she'd like me to help teach." That was kind of exciting, not just finishing her training but helping shape the next generation.

Something wasn't adding up.
"Where's the pain at?"

Allea winced, but she had promised to answer what she could.
"Please don't call him that... his name is Ben. He can call himself that stupid name and run around dressed like a cheap version of Darth Vader, but he's still our cousin Ben." She tried to collect herself.
"I don't know what happened, but you're right not to trust Ben's version entirely, I'm sure there is some truth in his version, but he's probably twisted it some too. All I know is it was a normal day, we all went to bed that night and when I woke up the temple was on fire, it wasn't until later I found out Ben was gone, you were gone, Mama was... Papa loaded me up in his X-Wing and flew me to Coruscant, where Aunt Leia was. And when I woke up the next morning, he was gone."
"It will come back, I know it will." But Allea could sympathize with being impatient.
"You've always been impatient, when we were little you were always eager, eager to learn new skills, eager to train with the older padawans. We used to beg Ben to teach us more advanced fighting styles before either of us were ready." Allea reached for Rey's hand and squeezed it.
"I can feel you want to ask your questions, go ahead, I'll answer what I can."

Allea hesitated for a moment, before speaking again.
"What did she look like? Red hair obviously, but... the details are getting fuzzy the older I get, I barely remember what her voice sounded like. Everything I know feels like I'm watching a holo, or like someone else lived it."
"I was... I remember telling Mama I wanted a yellow kyber crystal because you had green, she had purple, and Ben had blue... and she told me we don't pick the crystals, they pick us." She could still kind of see the way her mother smiled when she said it, but the details were blurry after all these years.
"I miss her so much."

Allea laughed, it almost felt like she was twelve again and she and her cousin were teasing each other back and forth.
"Alright I won't... this time." Allea knew Rey could beat Ben in a fight, she'd never actually had the opportunity to see it happen for real, but she and Rey had trained together and she'd watched Rey and Ben spar together since they had stated the new temple.
"I've missed this."

So he could take as good as he got, good to know.
"Allea. Do you want to tell me what happened out there, Peter Quill?" The medical droid waited for her orders, but Allea didn't give any yet, she wanted to hear what he had to say first, get a feel for where he was hurt.
He looked like hell sure but she'd seen worse injuries from a crash like what he'd been through.

It was weird seeing him so young. She knew her father was older than this, but the Force was acting in mysterious ways and brought her back to the early days of the New Republic.
Had he even met her mother yet?
If it wasn't for the familiarity of his Force signature, Allea didn't even know if she'd recognize him.
But he was right. Asking how she knew where she was going was a reasonable question.
"This is my home... or it will be."
@jedischild asked: ❛ if you don’t want a sarcastic answer, don’t ask stupid questions ❜ (Can I get this for Luke please? If you need to plot something out please just message me I'll happily try to work something out.)
Shock – or rather, a taken aback look riddled with minor offense – was given to the other almost immediately. It was a wonder Luke didn’t have a hand clutched over his heart in an over-dramatic fashion. “It was a perfectly reasonable question!”

"That she does, I think she learned how to do that from my aunt if I'm being honest." Allea had been the receiving end of Leia Organa's 'mom look' countless times.
"I'll let this instance slide, but in future be mindful of how you speak."
"When life gives you lemons, just say ‘fuck the lemons’, and bail." (icarus) @meaningful-negativity
Allea Skywalker don't you dare kriffing laugh.
She was supposed to be the responsible one here, even if the student wasn't too much younger than her, Allea was supposed to be an adult.
"Language." It wasn't as stern a reprimand as it should have been, but most her focus was on not smiling or worse laughing.
The saying was just so blunt, like something the Resistance pilots would say before remembering the General's niece was within ear shot.
"I don't think I've ever heard it put that way."

Allea finally looked up when Poe said that he got the part, she didn't understand Dameron sometimes, he'd always been a little cocky and sometimes he got on her nerves, but then he could be sweet and thoughtful.
"Thank you... why do you do all this?"
❛ guess what? ❜ (Poe) @meaningful-negativity
