Tour De France Stopped By Farmers Strike With Police Firing Tear Gas

The Tour de France was halted during stage 16 on Tuesday after a farmers' strike caused chaos on the route. Police tried to disperse protestors with tear gas, which drifted on the air and ended up affecting the riders. British duo Geraint Thomas and Chris Froome were among the cyclists that were forced to clean their eyes. At Least Seven Dead And As Huge Forest Fires Destroy Homes And Vehicles In Greek Holiday Resorts

A witness saw at least four dead on the road in Mati, a village east of Athens. The Greek coastguard is also searching for 10 missing tourists who fled the fires. Police Officer Who Sawed Through Car Window With A Knife 'left Motorist Fearing For His Life'

PC Joshua Savage, 28, filmed attacking Leon Fontana's Ford Fiesta with weapons. In the video he was seen using a baton to smash glass before cutting it with knife. Prosecuting, Jonathan Polnay said he came across in clip as a bully in uniform. Uk Weather: Tourism Chiefs' Fury At Met Office Over Warnings To Stay Indoors As Temperatures Hit 91f

Tourism chiefs last night blasted Met Office's ‘nannying’ warnings to stay out of the sunshine in the heatwave. The weather service yesterday issued an amber health alert as it forecast temperatures could hit 95F (35C). UK hospitality industry leaders and MPs called advice ‘nonsense’ – and urged families to enjoy rare weather. Teenager Killed By Toronto Mass Shooter Had Just Finished High School

The Toronto shooter, 29, who killed two including a girl, 10, and left 12 more wounded has been named as Faisal Hussain. In a letter to the press, the family said: 'Our son had severe mental health challenges, struggling with psychosis and depression his entire life' . Two people have died and another 12 are wounded following a mass shooting in central Toronto overnight. One victim is a 18-year-old Toronto woman named Reese Fallon, who had just finished high school. Reese was out celebrating a birthday with two friends when she was killed. Her friends were also shot  . The gunman is also accused of killing a 10-year-old girl and leaving others with 'life-altering' injuries . Satellite Images Show The North Korean Dictator's Bomb Factories Lying Ruined After Pledge To Trump

In Singapore  summit on June 12, Trump and Kim Jong Un discussed plans to denuclearize North Korea . New pictures released this week appear to show the dismantling of facilities at the Sohae satellite station. Sohae has been the country's main site for satellite launches since 2012 and is believed to have played a large part in developing the country's intercontinental ballistic missile program. Jeremy Hunt Says Only Putin Will Celebrate A No-deal Brexit

Jeremy Hunt has been in Berlin for talks with German counterpart Heiko Maas. Foreign Secretary warned result of EU talks will define relations for 'generation' . Theresa May has held a Cabinet away-day in Gateshead as Brexit tensions rise. At Q&A with engineering workers she voiced confidence about getting a deal. A new free trade area in goods, based on a 'common rulebook' of EU regulations necessary. This will require the UK to commit by treaty to match EU rules. 'Mobility' rules which will end automatic freedom of movement, but still allow UK and EU citizens to travel without visas for tourism and temporary work. It will also enable businesses to move staff between countries. . Continued UK participation in and funding of European agencies covering areas like chemicals, aviation safety and medicines. A 'facilitated customs arrangement', removing the need for customs checks at UK-EU ports. It would allow differing UK and EU tariffs on goods from elsewhere in the world to be paid at the border, removing the need for rebates in the vast majority of cases. In theory this allows Britain to sign trade deals. Keeping services - such as banking or legal support - outside of the common rule book, meaning the UK is completely free to set its own regulations. It accepts it will mean less trade in services between the UK and EU. . Continued co-operation on energy and transport, a 'common rulebook' on state aid and commitments to maintain high standards of environmental and workplace protections. . A security deal allowing continued UK participation in Europol and Eurojust, 'co-ordination' of UK and EU policies on foreign affairs, defence and development.
