I just had a huge epiphany that I’m no longer going to be afraid of my professors. Like…why? What’s so intimidating? Honestly? I’m the intimidating one. I don’t owe professors anything. Of course I want to be respectful and show them I’m smart, but doing so always seemed to require fear. Im done with that. I’ve paid my bills, I’m here to learn, and i will not be intimidated.

I don’t know if it’s just me, but I’ve seen many studyblr posts about lately about overstudying, overly intensive study methods, how to wake up x amount of hours earlier to study etc.

It’s great to want to succeed and do well! Education can open so many new doorways for you, but it’s not healthy to be working too much! Please don’t try studying every waking hour.

Study what you need to, but take time for self-care as well!

I need your help!

I’m doing a (small) research with online communication as my main topic. While marketing is a relatively big part of my study, we haven’t touched on online communication much because the book we used then was outdated (and it costs about €80 new/€50 second-hand, ouch). My school’s closed now so I don’t have access to its library anymore, but my research is due in three weeks (last minute, I know! Don’t even get me started okay I know lol).

SO. Why do I need your help?

Well, I need a good starting point. So I need all the information I can get about online communication; theories, models, you name it. Everything. Where does the foundation lie? Are there any communication models or theories that have been updated to use in these recent years of online communication? 

If anyone could give me even just a few pointers (good authors, foundational theories/models, papers by marketeers etc), you’d help me out a lot. Doesn’t have to be anything major at all. I just need to know how to look for good resources on this topic.

(Disclaimer: yes, of course I Google all of this, too. But I need something good to start out with and Google provides loads of crap, too.)
