Zein El Sharaf Nasser Judeh weds Dr. Abdaljalil Mohammed Al Sharaya in a wedding ceremony in Amman on 25 June 2025.
The bride is the daughter of Princess Sumaya of Jordan and Nasser Judeh. The joyous occasion was also attended by her grandfather, Prince El Hassan bin Talal, as well as family members on both sides.
Born in 1994, Zein El Sharaf is a First Lieutenant in the Jordanian Royal Medical Services and currently serves with the Air Medical Evacuation Team of the Royal Jordanian Air Force. Prior, she studied in the UK. The groom, born in 1987, is a neurosurgeon and also serves in the Jordanian Royal Medical Services.

25 May 2025: King Abdullah II, accompanied by Crown Prince Hussein, attended the ceremony to mark Jordan’s 79th Independence Day, held at Al Husseiniya Palace.
During the ceremony, attended by Prince Hashem bin Abdullah II, heads of authorities delivered speeches expressing deep pride in Jordan and highlighting the significance of the occasion, which serves to reaffirm Jordanians’ devotion to their homeland, and their determination to support its continued advancement under the Hashemite leadership.
The prime minister, Senate president, House of Representatives speaker, and president of the Judicial Council expressed pride in the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army and security agencies for their role in safeguarding the Kingdom.
They also emphasised Jordanians’ steadfast support for the Hashemite leadership in defending Arab causes, and supporting Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank, as well as safeguarding Muslim and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem.
Royal family members, senior officials and officers, members of the diplomatic corps, and representatives of political parties, civil society organisations, and professional associations attended the ceremony.

25 May 2025: King Abdullah II bestowed Royal medals upon a number of distinguished Jordanian individuals and leading national institutions in recognition of their significant contributions and services to the nation and its people.
The investiture ceremony, held at Al Husseiniya Palace to mark the 79th anniversary of Jordan’s independence, was attended by Crown Prince Hussein and Prince Hashem bin Abdullah II, as well as a number of Royal family members, and senior officials and officers.
The ceremony highlighted the achievements of Jordanians who have distinguished themselves in different sectors, including filmmaking, media, economics, vocational training, literature, education, technology, culture, medicine, science, and sports.

21 May 2025: King Abdullah II received, in three separate meetings, the annual reports on the Judicial Council, Sharia Courts, and Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission (IACC) and their conduct of business for the year 2024.
Meeting with Judicial Council President Mahmoud Ababneh, His Majesty was briefed on the status of the regular courts, the administrative judiciary, and the public prosecution, and called for continuing to increase the expeditious and timely adjudication of cases and litigation procedures.
The King commended the judiciary’s efforts in raising the level of performance.
According to the Judicial Council’s report, the judiciary has reduced the total number of referred cases by 18 per cent, compared to 2023.
The regular courts adjudicated more than 417,000 cases, accounting for 87 per cent of total cases that went before the courts, with an average duration of 57-day litigation in all courts.
His Majesty also met with Chief Islamic Justice Abdul Hafez Rabtah and Higher Sharia Court President Kamal Smadi to receive the Sharia Courts’ annual report for 2024.
The King commended the efforts of the Sharia Courts in enhancing the level of services provided to citizens.
His Majesty stressed the importance of the Sharia Courts’ role in promoting family cohesion and community protection, while noting the need to develop electronic services for these courts.
According to the Sharia Courts’ report, there were around 150,000 dismissed or dropped cases, accounting for 86 per cent of total cases. Meanwhile, the courts’ family reconciliation and mediation offices succeeded in restoring more than 9,000 families to their normal lives, and diverting 39,000 cases from judicial litigation to consensual agreements.
The report also highlighted that the Chief Islamic Justice Department launched a platform offering 73 digital services to facilitate access to judicial services.
During the King’s meeting with IACC Chairman Muhannad Hijazi on the commission’s report, His Majesty praised the efforts of IACC staff.
The King urged continuing strengthening the capabilities of the IACC’s cadres, and to maintain coordination between official institutions to enhance the national integrity and transparency system.
According to the IACC report, the commission recovered, contributed to recovering, or prevented the waste of public funds amounting to around JD61 million, in addition to detecting suspected tax evasion cases amounting to around JD110 million.
The IACC also examined more than 2,000 investigation files, referred 197 of them to the public prosecution, and launched an initiative to raise awareness among university students about their role in promoting integrity and combating corruption.
Royal Hashemite Court Chief Yousef Issawi and Director of the Office of His Majesty Alaa Batayneh attended the meetings.

20 May 2025: King Abdullah II visited three factories in Al Muwaqqar Industrial City that specialise in food products, packaging, and garment manufacturing, and that are creating employment opportunities for Jordanians.
His Majesty’s first stop was at Al Kbous Group for Industrial Trading and Investment factories, which have been producing tea and coffee for local consumption as well as export since the establishment of the group’s Jordan branch in 2013.
Chairman Hassan Al Kbous and CEO Mamoon Al Kbous gave a briefing about the group’s factories, which have a production capacity of 7,200 tonnes and employ around 210 Jordanians.
Founded in Yemen, Al Kbous Group has investments in seven countries in the region and globally, and has chosen to increase its industrial investments in Jordan through the establishment of an industrial potato factory and soft drinks factory.
According to company officials, the group plans, as part of its expansion, to open new markets for its tea products, 95 per cent of which are exported to more than 32 countries.
The King’s next visit was to the Quality Carton Packaging (QPack) factory, a local company founded by Zalatimo Industries in 2005, which employs 225 Jordanians.
The factory distributes its products to the local market, and exports approximately 7,000 tonnes annually to markets in the Middle East, Europe, North America and Asia.
Group Chairman Marwan Zalatimo and CEO Mohammad Zalatimo gave a briefing on the manufacture of packaging for the food, trade, and shipping sectors, which the factory produces at a capacity of 25,000 tonnes per year.
His Majesty also visited the Pine Tree Company for Textile Manufacturing factory, where CEO Moath Al Saaida gave a briefing about the company, whose exports exceed $100 million annually.
Established in 2014, the Pine Tree Company employs around 600 Jordanians, including 60 industrial engineers, out of a total of 1,730 employees. Jordanians hold 98 per cent of management positions at the factory, which is affiliated with Singaporean sportswear manufacturer Ramatex.
Jordan’s industrial sector employs more than 250,000 employees, 90 per cent of whom are Jordanian, and attracts foreign investments while providing high-quality products that reach international markets, thereby contributing to economic growth.

19 May 2025: King Abdullah II, during a meeting with Prime Minister of Malta Robert Abela, discussed bilateral relations and regional developments.
During the meeting, which was attended by Crown Prince Hussein, His Majesty highlighted the importance of Prime Minister Abela’s visit in enhancing the strong ties between Jordan and Malta.
The King said the signing of the cooperation agreement and memorandums of understanding between the governments of Jordan and Malta reflects the shared commitment to increasing collaboration between the private sectors of the two countries.
For his part, Prime Minister Abela commended Jordan’s efforts, led by His Majesty, to promote stability and peace in the region, and provide medical care for Gaza’s children, as well as refuge and assistance to Syrian refugees.
The King and Prime Minister Abela highlighted the importance of coordination between the two countries regarding receiving sick and injured children from Gaza for medical treatment.
The meeting also touched on current developments in the region, with His Majesty reiterating the need to immediately reinstate the ceasefire in Gaza, ensure the continued flow of humanitarian aid, and step up international efforts to de-escalate the situation in the region.
The King said escalations in the West Bank and Jerusalem, and attempts to displace Palestinians threaten the stability of the entire region.
His Majesty said Jordan remains committed to working with allies and neighbouring countries to achieve peace, praising Malta’s role in this regard.
The King and the prime minister of Malta witnessed the signing of a framework agreement for cooperation between the two countries, and three memorandums of understanding in the fields of water and energy, tourism, and archiving and language exchange.

18 May 2025: King Abdullah II attended a security exercise carried out jointly by JAF, the General Intelligence Department (GID), and the Public Security Directorate (PSD) at the Special Police Training Centre.
The exercise included a number of training scenarios, tasks, and security applications carried out by armed forces and security agencies personnel using technology, drones, and robots.
His Majesty expressed pride in the advanced skills of the participants in military and security work, in addition to their professionalism and readiness to respond to various developments and challenges.

14 May 2025: King Abdullah II received the United Kingdom’s National Security Adviser Jonathan Powell.
During the meeting, attended by Crown Prince Hussein, His Majesty emphasised the deep-rooted ties between Jordan and the UK, as well as readiness to enhance cooperation across various sectors, including defence.
The King expressed Jordan’s appreciation for the UK’s role in promoting stability in the region, noting the importance of maintaining coordination between the two countries on issues of mutual concern.
The meeting covered regional developments, with His Majesty stressing the need for the international community to step up efforts to immediately reinstate the ceasefire in Gaza, resume the flow of humanitarian aid, and support efforts to rebuild the Strip without displacing its residents.
The meeting also touched on current events in the region in general, particularly in the West Bank and Syria.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi, Director of the Office of His Majesty Alaa Batayneh, Jordan’s Ambassador to the UK Manar Dabbas, General Intelligence Department Director Maj.
