Okay, fears of a live action TLOZ aside, I personally really see Lola Tung as being able to ace Zelda in live action format. I don't know who could play Link or Ganondorf, but Zelda is meant to be wise and calm and I feel like Lola has the range. She's good at being mature and soothing in the the summer I turned pretty (like in the voiceovers) and her range is amazing and so realistic.
But if they go with more of a teenage panicked Zelda like in BOTW, I think Lola would be good at that too. Say what you will about Belly's character making annoying decisions under pressure, I feel like Lola really sells it no matter what. (Which is why people find her annoying- she is selling the annoying part of being a teenager!!) Her crying scenes are amazing and authentic. And I just want someone good at acting, not just celebrity stunt casting.

Plus, she kind of reminds me of Zelda in Twilight Princess. Like just imagine her with the elven pointy ears? She has that sort of ethereal look to me.
And it kind of helps that she's wasian, I know people see Zelda and Link as white people but I've always seen them as Japanese inspired especially in later games because of the Japanese influence on the lore. I think it would also be cool if they cast fully Japanese people as Link and Zelda.
Side note/mini rant: I hate reddit bc they're going on and on about how zelda and Link must be white because they're white and that's what they've grown up seeing... they're hylian. Who cares. They could be anything, I'm just making a fancast for fun but reddit is so toxic. I saw people saying they "better not ruin Zelda like how they did LOTR" because apparently "elves are supposed to be beautiful, not black."
People full on saying elves have to be Slavic/European to be real elves. And Zelda characters have always looked sort of cartoony/anime-ish to me, so I don't think they have to be anything other than pretty. I know I won't be throwing a tantrum if they're of colour rather than not. I'll only be upset if there's a shit ton of marvel esque content in the film.

"Our main timeframe was from the invention of Barbie through to now. The timeless pieces, which also has an echo to the actual toys that were in the dream house that Mattel makes today. It's very simple, and clear, and beautiful. That was one of Greta's key words. "It has to be beautiful. It has to be beautiful, as well." Taking it properly from the late '50s to the '60s was a big influence of that modernist furniture that was coming through." – BARBIE'S SET DECORATOR KATIE SPENCER TALKS DESIGN OF THE DREAMHOUSE

I love how in the new Zelda trailer, the music is really coming back to some of the game's iconic tunes! All re-incorporated into what I guess is BOTW/TOTK's own music. Here's a breakdown just for my own indulgence lol
0:38 - 0:46 / The initial title drop has the OG Zelda title theme play
0:51 - 0:59 / the BOTW title theme's first few piano notes play
1:13 - 1:16 / Hyrule Castle's theme from LTTP plays as Hyrule Castle is shown
1:30 - 1:39 / Ganondorf's theme plays, very clearly hyping up his return
2:30 - 2:36 / Very short snippet of the OG Zelda title theme again
2:50 - 3:00 / Ganondorf's theme again, more subdued/changed up though
3:05 - 3:12 / OG Zelda title theme again, changed up a little
3:44 - 3:49 / First three notes of Zelda's Lullaby
Now, what does this all mean? Of course, it could just be for paying tribute to the iconic parts of the franchise, but since BOTW didn't really do that, I'm going to assume it means something. I think TOTK is about rebuilding Hyrule- a theory that many people have talked about already.
I think using bits of the well known music here and there alludes to the idea that Link is trying to help restore Hyrule to it's well known state, and that as a franchise LOZ is kind of coming full circle. I'm very excited to see where this goes

Not to be stupid but how old are Jake and Neytiri's kids supposed to be?
I know Kiri is 14 since Sigourney said so in an interview, and Tuk is clearly the baby. It just confuses me a little that according to the wiki Neteyam is supposed to be younger than Kiri- he does not look 13 or 12 to me.
I know that Na'vi anatomy is different and all that as well, but Kiri looks the Na'vi equivalent of 14, while Neteyam and Lo'ak look like 16, 17?
Tumblr media
Is it just me who feels like they look too old to be like 12? Or maybe the wiki is wrong and there's a bigger time gap between the first movie and this one.

You're thinking of Ronal, Tsireya's mother. Tsireya is her teenage daughter.
This is Ronal. She has the traditional bone pick tool that Mo'at had in the first movie, bexause she's the Tsahik, and while she looks similar to Tsireya, Ronal has different features and clothing.
Tumblr media
She's also clearly pregnant in the visual dictionary as well
Tumblr media
Here are some shots of Tsireya who again looks similar but still younger.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And here's Tsireya on the left, next to her mother, Ronal.
Tumblr media
I get that they look pretty similar so an easy way to differentiate them would be to look at their clothes or the facial tattoos that Ronal has.
I CALLED IT

Tsireya and Lo'ak are definitely falling in love :)
