When nobody else would take Achlyares (ack•lee•AIR•ees) (on the right) in, Blixer did. They were raised by him, and, being his kid, was the princess. Being a hybrid, she tended to be violent, but usually only towards pure shapes, most specifically the heroes (or just shapes that pissed them off).

Icosa (Cossie) (on the left) was born pure, but corrupted when she was little, so the Corruption was all she really ever knew. She's the polar opposite of Achlyares, training in medicine from an early age.

For whatever reason, the two felt drawn to each other since they were both little, and have been best friends since childhood, Cossie always patching Achlyares up after the fights the hybrid tended to get into.

...Eventually, by the time Achlyares is nineteen and Cossie is eighteen, the former has been deemed a threat to the corruption, having grown more than powerful enough to rule as a ruthless tyrant if they so chose. Both Blixer and Icosa have done their best to try to help Achlyares...

...but they were too far gone at that point.

Icosa and Blixer confront them one day. She does *not* take it well. She's entirely lost herself now, to the point where she lashed out at her own father. Of course, Blixer acts in self-defense, cue badass fight scene or something.

Blix has Achlyares in a headlock, trying to tell them one more time to stop, to give them *one last chance*... But he knows his kid. They're the most stubborn shape he knows. They refuse to give in.

Knowing that Achlyares dies, I think you can figure out the rest, Icosa helplessly watching on the sidelines.

JSaB: PARALLELS Info PART 1 - What is PARALLELS?

Like many other fans of the 2018 bullet hell Just Shapes and Beats, I've created my own AU, which takes place after the events of the game.

The main events of the story mode of JSaB are very cut-and-dry; there's good guys and bad guys, the former defeating the latter in the end. In PARALLELS, these two sides are referred to as the Heroes (who are considered to be pure), and the Corruption respectively.

The story follows a young hexagon, Zero... However, he's not pure, nor is he corrupted...; A Hybrid. Physically stronger than the average shape, the boy has caught the attention of the Heroes of the world, as well as the Corruption.

After the main events of the game, the Corruption has unfortunately tried to infect the world yet again, causing another war to break out.

Zero must find his way in the world and regain his memory of who he is and where he came from, while simultaneously avoiding being taken advantage of by the two sides of this war.
