“No, of life.” Brows furrowed as her gaze shifted towards Julian, not really knowing he had been there. When she’d sat down there, she had been alone. Well, as far as she had known anyways. Maybe Este was just more unobservant than she thought.

hearing the other clarify, julian looked up, his dark eyes meeting her own. “i don’t think there’s a concrete meaning to life. i think it kind of depends on what life means to you. perception is reality, after all.” he said with a shrug. “feeling a bit emo today, are we?”

“I’m gathering that.” She raised a brow. “Oh, I didn’t. We were just visiting for a couple of weeks. But if I did, though, I don’t think it wouldn’t have been that odd. My mom is working on opening shops there.”

“so what i’m hearing is that you’re moving to france? because it kind of sounds like you’ve already made up your mind.” julian said with a small shrug. “there’s still a mcdonald’s there to satisfy all of your chicken nugget needs. at least there’s one thing in the world that remains consistent.

“i seem to keep putting myself into situations where you can very easily kill me.” julian joked as the blonde approached the car, referencing to their first conversation at the bar. he helped her get her things into the car before walking back over to the drivers side, climbing inside the vehicle and quickly making himself comfortable. “don’t mention it. how was your trip?”

Ryan waved as the car approached the airport so the other would see her. She pulled her suitcase behind her, hurrying to open the door. “Thanks for picking me up,” she said as she stuffed her suitcase into the trunk. The blonde went around, getting into the passenger’s seat. “I owe you for this.”

if there was anything to know about julian, it was that he was a bit predictable - even when he thinks he’s not. his schedule for the most part stayed the same; sleep, study, train, party. so it was no shock that he had spent yet another friday night in an exclusive club. he had been at the bar, ordering a few rounds for himself when he heard a familiar voice. turning his head, he gave the other male a small smile. “it has been a while.” he agreed simply, nodding his head at the other. “funny that we keep bumping into each other at places like this. how you doing?”

Closed Starter | | Julian + Nate

Nate had met Julian by chance at some club night, the older man seemingly taking Nate under his wing. They hadn’t seen each other since so he was a little surprised to run into him at Members Only, especially when Nate was only there because some of his dorm neighbours had dragged him along. “Julian, right? It’s been a while”, Nate said when he found himself at the bar at the same time as the other man. @juliantaylor​

a smirk teased the male’s lips as she spoke, dark eyes flickering back and forth between the woman’s eyes and lips. he enjoyed what was going on between the two; two friends who occasionally (frequently) have a good time together. and he certainly didn’t mind being alone with the girl; after all, he wouldn’t have even stepped foot into this house if it her sisters had been home...for both her and his sake. “you think they’re gonna be gone for a while? it’ll be awfully terrible if we were to get interrupted.” he said in a low tone, his accent thick as it normally was in situations like this. he kissed her once more before standing up, his hands going up to the loose collar of his shirt. his fingers fumbled gracefully with the buttons, closely undoing them one by one, his eyes trapped on hers the entire time. he quickly stripped off the shirt, feeling the material fall down his arms and onto the floor. “am i going to have to completely get myself undressed?” he questioned, a smirk teasing his lips as he took a step forward towards the bathtub. he reached down slightly, pushing away a few loose, somewhat wet strands of hair away from the girls face as his eyes met hers once more.

“You’ll be seeing me all over the place now that we’re formally introduced”, Noah said, laughing as he shook the other man’s hand. “You have good taste. I’ve heard good things about their top shelf tequila, actually. I was going to try that”, he decided. 

“you’re quite confident that i’m going to remember you.” julian said with a laugh, one that was immediately followed by a simple smile to show the other he had been joking around. maybe - the man did have quite a bit to drink, after all. “the tequila isn’t a bad choice. dangerous, but not bad.” he tacked on with a small nod. “so, you say you go to monarch? what are you studying?”

“consider all of my plans cancelled.” julian said with a warm smile. “wouldn’t miss it for the world. oh, and happy birthday.”

julian had gotten out of class early and decided it was probably an okay idea to spend his time wisely - which is why he made his way towards the coffee shop. he normally studied in the comfort of his dorm room, but it was a beautiful day, and the man could use a change of scenery. his eyes were scanning around for a place to sit when he spotted his cousin nearby. accepting his order from the barista, he quickly made his way over. his movements were brought to a half as he approached the table, realizing that the girl had been crying. “what’s wrong?” he immediately asked, his brows furrowing in concern.

wednesday’s were always ollie’s favorite day. she had no classes, no work, no prior obligations other than surf practice in the mornings so usually those were her days to just relax. Today she decided to spent her afternoon doing some sketching in a coffee shop, using it as an opportunity to work on her live drawing skills. she set her notebook down as her phone began to ring, happily answering it when she saw it was her brother but her smile soon dissipated as she got off the phone with him. he called bearing news about their parents, news that she wasn’t emotionally prepared to hear which was why her eyes almost instantly began welling with tears as she blankly stared off into the distance, a few falling before she realized someone was staring at her. “oh god—i’m so sorry, I swear I don’t usually cry in public like this” she nervously laughed, clearly flustered and wiping her eyes as she tried to quickly gather her things.

“that’s because everything here is terribly processed, even the healthier options.” he reasoned, giving the girl a simple shrug before looking up. “i didn’t know you lived in france, though. that seems oddly fancy for you.”

“Do you know that the food in America is so bad? I got accustomed to the food in France, and once we were back here and I ate my first meal I got so sick. I think that just goes to show how low quality it is. I obviously need to make an international move,” Ivy rambled, brows knotted together as she spoke. @monarchstart​

julian had been studying out on the quad, sitting down near a shadier part, his body leaned back against a tree. he had been typing away when he heard a voice close by speak. “the meaning of...?” his words trailed off as he questioned the other, not even looking up as he continued typing. “...doing papers that don’t evaluate and measure your potential?”

It was safe to say that Este was having one of her off days. The kind where time was blending together and she really couldn’t tell you what the date was. She wasn’t even interested in her most favorite thing in the world today: music. When she felt like this, Este usually crawled into bed and isolated herself from everyone else. But her therapist told her how unhealthy that was, and that she had to try to find a new coping mechanism. So there she was, sat in the patchy grass in the quad, trying to figure out how to stop feeling so empty inside. “You ever wonder what the meaning is?” She asked no one, mostly talking to herself. She was referring to life, but considering she wasn’t expecting anyone to answer her, Este didn’t elaborate on that. @monarchstart

Arden: I have forgiven you, time and time again, for everything that you've put me through. I've stood by your side, overlooked your indiscretions, defended you, and loved you through it all

Arden: I've even kept my mouth shut about who you are to me ever since you arrived on this campus because I didn't want to make things harder for you

Arden: I don't deserve this from you, Julian. I never did. I may not have stood up for myself back then but if this is how you're going to continue treating me, delete my number and leave me the fuck alone.

Julian: do you want a ribbon for all of this? you act like i forced you to be with me, or do anything else. you're a big girl, arden - you put this on yourself.

Julian: nice to see your true colors though, babe. and here i was thinking you were still all innocent

it had only been a weird coincidence bumping into aj when he first arrived at monarch. he hadn’t spoken to, or seen, the girl since their occasional meetups back in the city; which is exactly why he was a bit confused as to why she would invite him to this party. him out of all people, at that. his driver pulled up to the address given, and julian reached for his phone to text the girl, telling her that they were there. he looked up as he heard a door swing open, a small smile creeping his lips as she got into the car. “no problem. his name’s cisco.” he simply said with a nod. “i must say i’m very curious as to why you’ve invited me, out of all people.” he gave a drive a small nod, letting him know that it was okay to take off.

Closed Starter | | AJ + Julian

It had been a little weird to run into Julian on campus but honestly, it was just a relief that he hadn’t arrived whilst Bryce was still enrolled at the university. At the end of the day, she and Julian were both adults and despite the fact that money had exchanged hands, Julian had always treated her with respect – unlike some of her other clients. Naturally, he was the first person that she thought about inviting when she received an exclusive club invitation from one of the customers at Mars Bar. After confirming that she was happy to use his driver and sending him the address of the beach house so that he could pick her up, AJ changed into a black dress and styled her hair to hang in it’s natural curls. She was waiting out the front of the beach house when his car pulled up, AJ sliding into the backseat next to Julian with a grin. “I’m glad that you could make it. Thanks for organising your driver too”. @juliantaylor​
