i know im insanely inactive but i wanted to drop a tiny edwin headcanon

i like to imagine he had a favoured teacher, maybe one that really did recognise that he was a very lonely, very repressed teenage boy, and there was a sort of friendship to be found there

maybe not friendship, but a favourite teacher and a favourite student, and i like to think that maybe this teacher got edwin a pack of cards or maybe a new chess set for his sixteenth birthday, knowing he wouldnt get anything from anyone else

i know its more so unlikely but its a happy thought in such a sad fandom 😋
