Red Queen | Victoria Aveyard
Last book out of the 52 and one hell of an emotional rollercoaster.
My heart still beats with all the emotions that Mare felt, lies and betrayals twist in my head. Even though I've put the book down, I still feel locked in the story.
Red Queen was nothing like what I had expected but instead so much more. With every page I tried to stop myself from reading more but I couldn't take a break.
I don't think I could have chosen a better book to finish this challenge with and I desperately need to read the next one.

The Colour of Magic | Terry Pratchett
51st book and only one to go. It's been a bit rushed at the end but I'm almost completed my challenge.

Then There Were None | Agatha Christie
50 out of 52 books down.
I haven't read many Agatha Christie books before but I've really enjoyed what I have read.
They're always so twisty and intriguing yet come together nicely at the end. Of course part of the fun is trying to figure out what happened or in this book, what was happening.

Splintered | A.G Howard
48th book and probably one of the most interesting.
Splintered is a darker, twisted tale of Alice in Wonderland. About Alyssa, a descendant of Alice, who is trying to save her mother and herself from a family curse by fixing what Alice did in Wonderland.
Alice in Wonderland has always been one of my childhood favourites, the magical creatures, the beautiful landscapes and of course the wonderful adventures. So when I came across this series I knew immediately that I would love it, it's almost like Alice in Wonderland but a young adult edition.

Rebels of Eden | Joey Graceffa
47th book and the last book in the Children of Eden trilogy.
I'm not going to say much because it's the same as the other two books in the trilogy except the end goes a way that I didn't predict and I'm still unsure about it. However it was a good story and I liked most of the characters but only really connected with a couple.

Children of Eden | Joey Graceffa
This is Children of Eden and Elites of Eden but I decided to do one post as I read them both quickly and their practically one book. So these are the 45th and 46th books and I'm very close to being caught up which is good because I only have about 4 weeks left.
There were points when these books reminded me of the Shatter Me series and the Slated series (that I read way before this challenge) but overall it follows its own story.
Eden is an artificial closed system that hold the remaining human population after the world, including all livings things other than humans, was destroyed. But as a closed its resources are limited and so a one child policy is put in place.
It's a YA story that follows a teenage girl who, in this case is a second child, is an outcast and fights for her freedom in society.
I enjoyed these books more than I thought I would. The suspense, mystery and tension pulling me through the pages, I could not put the books down. I'm now going to read the third and final book in the Children of Eden series.

Six of Crows | Leigh Bardugo
44th book out of 52 and I only have 4 more weeks to complete this challenge. I'm trying so hard to read what I have on my shelves instead of ordering more until I've finished this challenge.
Six of Crows starts with a plan of a big heist but ends up being so much more.
This book is everything I love put into one, the mystery and intrigue surrounding the character's back stories, the victorian sort of cities with added magic and of course the heist. I immediately fell in love with each character and engaged in the story so easily. I cannot wait for to read the sequel and dive right back in. This book is definitely going up there with my favourites.
I'm going to rate this 5/5. It's such a great feeling to forget that you're reading and instead start living the story, well Six of Crows was like that from the start.

Eragon | Christopher Paolin
43rd book and I've been meaning to read this for a while. The book isn't in great condition as I got it from my brother.
I watched the film when I was younger and remembered enjoying it so I thought I would read the book. This book could not have been more different from the film and I quite enjoyed going to all the different towns and cities which I was disappointed that they weren't in the film.
Eragon follows the story of a new dragon rider years after the fall of the first dragon riders.
I'm going to rate this book 2.5/5, as it was good and I think fantasy may be my favourite genre but for me it didn't quite have that thing to make me want to read it in one night. However it was a good book and great storyline. I don't know when I'm going to get round to reading the rest.

Kidnapped | Robert Louis Stevenson
42nd book. I got this book a little while back at a second hand bookshop because I loved Treasure Island and wanted to read more by R.L. Stevenson. Also this is a beautiful looking book.
The story follows a boy (well teenager) named David who, after his parent's death, seeks his uncle and an inheritance. But naturally things are not always easy and people are not always who they say they are.
I really enjoy the description that Stevenson writes but that may just be my interest in the old towns and boats. I found it a bit difficult to follow some of their speech and had to read some bits over again but I got the gist of what was being said.
I did enjoy the book however not as much as Treasure Island, also the character of David I felt was too grown up but that might have been expected back when this was written.

The Chalk Man | C.J. Tudor
41st book.
I really enjoyed how twisty this book was and the constant switch between when the characters were younger and the present day.
The story starts with figuring out the truth to a murder but many more secrets and lies play part in it.
I think it was a good book but still after reading it, I feel like not everything adds up and there are still truths missing.
Overall I'd rate this a 3/5.

Five Feet Apart | Daughtry, Lippincott and Laconis
40th book, I'm almost finished this challenge. One upside to this quarantine is the amount of reading I have been able to get done.
I was a bit worried about reading this book; one because my friend got it for me and she absolutely loves it which leads onto the next reason, I really don't like romance books and I was worried about not being able to read this book. However, I did read it and didn't hate it. I'd have to be heartless to say that I didn't get attached to the characters towards the end but I can't give it the best of reviews as romance really isn't my thing.
If you like romance and sappy love stories then this book is definitely for you and you will love it but in my opinion I'm going to give it 2/5 stars, sorry to any major fans out there.

A Good Girl's Guide To Murder | Holly Jackson
39th book and I have a feeling I'm about to get a lot of reading done over these next few months.
A good girls guide to murder is one hell of a rollercoaster, full of twists and turns. It's written half like a normal book but half like a case file which it basically is. The whole way throughout the book I found my self guessing and making my own theories to what happened, it was quite fun to do so. But at the end, I found really intriguing how well everything fit together and that nothing was too far fetched.
To start with, I thought this would be a Pretty Little Liars rip off sort of book but actually it's so much more and I would recommend to anyone who enjoys detective stories and needs a book that they can easily get hooked in to. Overall I'm giving it 3.5/5 stars.

Five Go Down To the Sea | Enid Blyton
37th book, another Famous Five for two reasons: it's short and easy to read so I can catch up quickly and I'm working my way through the books as even though I've read them all so many times, it's never been in order.
I'm not going to rate these books as I wouldn't know how because they are basically my childhood.

Grimm Tales | Philip Pullman
36th book and the last book I read whilst on holiday, I've had this book for a while and kept meaning to read it. I also have another Grimm's Tales book but of different stories.
I've always loved fairytales ever since I could read so naturally I was very excited to finally read this. I really enjoyed how weird and sometimes confusing the stories were but in a way (plus if you didn't question it too much) they made perfect sense. Pullman also added notes after each story of his opions and how these stories were different from the originals, or how they developed over time.
Overall, this was a really easy and enjoyable read therefore I'll rate it a 4/5.
