Also because one of her posts on weibo, when she didn't like the characterization of Zhang Ping and Lan Jue of the manhua adaptation, she complained the manhua was trying to reverse her cp. So in her mind PingLan is the main ship and canon, but has she made it canon in the novel? NO. But it's unfinished series, she's been writing it on and off for 12 years, maybe she will eventually get to the romance, who knows, but so far, there's nothing explicit romantic in the novel.
