ᝰ In the morning, you always have to find many ways of waking him up because at times, he refused to let you go and make breakfast...

You woke up to the soft morning light that managed to escape through the curtains, rubbing one of your eyes before looking down to see...

"Good morning, Rei-kun~" a soft smile plastered on your face.

"Mmm..." He didn't respond, instead he nuzzled closer to your collarbone.

"Can you let me go? I need to make breakfast soon..."

"That can wait..."

ᝰ You always go to sleep first without ever seeing him and sometimes would catch him leaving the house when you woke up in the morning.

ᝰ Before leaving, he always gives you a goodbye kiss when you are still half asleep to wake you up which always works every time.

ᝰ On rare occasions, he just slept in mostly because he was tired from his idol work and sometimes he just needed to recharge his battery of you...

You woke up, sunlight peeking through the curtains, its warmth softly kissing your skin. blinking your eyes before slowly adjusting your vision and there you see locks of blonde hair...

You couldn't help but smile at the sight of his peaceful sleeping face, how can one be so precious?

"Kao-kun, it's time to get up" You said softly, patting his head.

"Mmn~ 5 more minutes..." He groaned, tightening his grip on you.

"Oh come on, you're going to be late"

"But it's so nice being here..."

Okay, maybe 5 more minutes won't hurt after all...

ᝰ Though he doesn't like to admit it but he likes coming home to be greeted by your sweet sleeping face, sometimes he would get embarrassed when he heard you call out his name in your sleep.

ᝰ Only in the morning, where you get to see his more honest and clingy side, it's rare to see him being so openly affectionate without getting embarrassed so easily...

Waking up from the land of dreams, you could feel strong arms wrapped around your waist and a source of warmth pressing against your back...

"Mmm...Kou-kun?" You called out to him softly, blinking slowly.

"Morning..." He mumbled sleepily, pressing his nose against the nape of your neck.

"Hey...stop that, it's tickles...!"

"Can't help it, you smell nice..."

At times like this, he becomes so sweet ...

ᝰ When he came home, you were always found snoozing the night away and often with the blanket being pushed to the edge of the bed, you hugging a pillow in one arm.

ᝰ Before getting onto the bed, he makes sure the pillows are comfy and places the blanket over you up until your shoulders so you won't get a cold when you wake up.

ᝰ Whenever he is next to you in bed, you would roll over and into his arms before going back to let out soft snoozes, he can't help but smile at your cuteness...

When you wake up, gentle strokes through your hair are the first thing you feel and when you open your sleepily eyes slowly...

"Good morning... sleep well?" His kind eyes look at you with so much love in them.

"Adon-kun..." Nuzzling against his chest, seeking for his warmth.

"Still tired?"

"Mmm...let me stay like this for a bit..."

a/n — based on an idea my friend yue (@bl4cktourmaline) gave me for free... i bet you weren't expecting this so soon since we talked abt this like... a few hours ago? HOPE U LIKE THIS YUE TYSM FOR THE THOUGHT <3

happy holidays everyone. did u know that scorpion kaoru was the last 5* announced before my bday. and now they announced his fs2 on christmas which is my 2nd fav holiday. do u think happyele is doing this for me. /j

christmas shopping is always a hassle, but last minute christmas shopping is even worse. kaoru's schedule was busy. yours was busy. overall, that left little to no time to prepare any gifts or even decorations.

it was fortunate that the both of you even managed to make it to the store—hell, it was fortunate that the store still had items. the cashiers looked pretty tired. after all, it was just a few days before christmas. they were probably just waiting for their shift to end so they could relax and stay home for a week.

what wasn't fortunate, however, was the fact that the moment you stepped outside, rain started to pour. it seemed like your luck for today was all spent on finding decorations and a few gifts for your friends.

and it really didn't help that you insisted on not bringing a coat since it was pretty sunny before you left. not even an umbrella. at the very least, kaoru had a coat with him. at least he won't get any colds.

...is what you originally thought, but kaoru quickly removed his coat, putting it on top of your head instead.

"...huh? aren't you going to get sick?"

"if i do get sick, you'll be there to take care of me, won't you?"

and just like that, after making sure you were decently covered, kaoru helped walk you home, even carrying your bags for you.

during the walk, you did try to at least share the coat with him, but he declined, talking about how he didn't want his dear beloved to get sick. not like he'd mind taking care of you, of course.

after what felt like ages, the both of you arrived at your home, and the rain had gotten lighter. it was more like drizzling now, actually.

you take the coat off your head, handing it back to kaoru. he took it, but to your surprise, he was just admiring you for a few moments while holding it. he had a look of so much love and affection, it was hard not to turn a bit red because of it.

"is there something on my face, kaoru?"

he laughed, not answering just yet. instead, he just leaned in and gave you a kiss. you had predicted it just from his expression, but actually experiencing it was a different feeling.

"no, no... you just look very pretty, love."

and unsurprisingly, the next time you see kaoru, he's sniffling and sneezing. you scold him a bit, but you make sure to remind him that you're thankful for what he did by kissing him on the cheek after.

but not for too long, though. otherwise, you might get sick too, and then his effort and sacrifice would be wasted.

kaoru h. — gift giving

a/n — i love giving ppl gifts but yk what makes me cry ??? RECEIVING A GIFT !!!!!!!! super duper short, i just wanted to get this thought out of my head :3 happy holidays ♡

gift giving is something you loved doing! whether it's for special occasions or 'just because', it's a nice way to show somebody that you love and cherish them.

however, receiving them was something new. of course, it was very appreciated, but it's strange being on the receiving end for once.

... which is something kaoru knew. and took note of, since it gave him an opportunity to surprise you.

he's very attentive once the season approaches, waiting for you to mention something that you'd like. it doesn't matter how ridiculous or expensive it is, he's going to get it for you.

if that doesn't work, he'll check around if you wrote a wishlist somewhere. maybe in a notebook or sticky note placed on something.

and if that doesn't work, then he'll get you a bouquet of flowers that you might like. unless he knows your favorite flowers, then he'll get them instead.

however, if he does find some free time, he'll try to make his own gift for you. nothing extravagant, maybe just a matching set of paper rings (which were made using youtube tutorials. if you search around hard enough, you might find a bunch of old attempts at it) but it's the time and effort that matters most!

so, when the day finally arrives, kaoru puts the present on your desk for you to find in the morning. perhaps after you wake up or after you had breakfast.

which caught you off-guard in the best way possible. once you open it and realize what it is, kaoru's right behind you, waiting to see your reaction. which is a happy one, of course!

... now all that's left is to surprise him back! but, for now, it'd make him very happy if you let someone give you a gift for once.
