Just mesmerized by the idea of bby!Shanks meeting an actual PRINCE and immediately falling for him in the most fairytale, puppylove way because he’s a bit of a romantic at heart, finding ways to meet up with him even tough they both really, reaaaally should keep away from each other because it would be too much trouble.

Just in love with the idea of bby!royality!Buggy meeting this pirate kid and finally having someone to do all the dumb stuff that all dumb little boys do wotj. Listening to him telling grand tales about the ocean and being a pirate and just being so smitten by both his tales and the boy himself.

When Shanks tells him that they will be leaving soon and Buggy looks at his choices of becoming the ruler of a country, which he is intimidated by and isn’t interested in, or becoming a pirate and seeing the world with the first friend he ever made, the conclusion to leave as a stowaway isn’t too difficult on him. Of course he gets discovered about three days in and the entirety of the Oro Jackson is freaking out because „Ffffffffuuuu we kidnapped a royal.“ but after his pleading to not take him back Roger agrees to let him sail with them if he can pull his weight as a cabinboy, which he does phenomenally all things considered.

Just so delighted by the idea of them growing up together and falling in love and Shanks being able to tease Buggy by sarcastically going „Your highness.“ before he does a faux curtesy and then laughs as he ducks away from a shoe Buggy throws at him. Thinking about Buggy actually having received a higher education than Shanks up to a point and the boy just being in awe when Buggy can speak another language at least well enough to ask for the way in a place they’d never been in and Buggy happily agreeing when Shanks asks him if he will teach him as well.

Breaking my own heart by imagining that their fight and breakup must have hurt even more for Buggy because Buggy was ready to give up his dream for Shanks and he already DID give up his former live and a possible future for Shanks in a way because Shanks was the person that he snuck out of the castle with every night just to talk to, the boy that first made him feel like maybe, just maybe Buggy could make his own future instead of just waiting for his live to go the route that other people have laid out for him and that there may be a future where he and Shanks would make it together as pirates under the same sail, but then Shanks decided that wasn’t what he wanted out of live and left Buggy with a place he could never go back to and a dream that would never be possible.

… in a much lighter note, Buggy coming across his niece Vivi and seeing her just being so very obviously and ridiculously charmed by a redheaded pirate as well. He can’t help but hope that it works out better for her than him… but also it’s weird this happened twice. Maybe it’s genetic who knows?

Anon this is fantastic thank you for sharing this masterpiece darling I’m honoured ��😭😭 I sat and reread this so many times thinking of ways I could add to this, but I can’t. I love it far too much.

I sat in this one for a while, I wasn’t sure how to explain what I had going on in my head but I hope this helps!

Doffy also sees his parents and Law! I didn’t get to those ones yet so I’ll let people make their own assumptions for now! But as for humans pretty much those are the only people in his family, also Trebol if you want to count him as family. I won’t introduce that stuff til later tho!
