...Is that "yes" to one more try then?
You did it. Again, [Aiden continued to tease.]

I'll bring it all up to him.
[Aiden paused for a moment before playfully asking:] ...So. ...Do we wanna try one more time to not talk about Keeg or is that enough tries for tonight?

I'm going to be a doctor. Stats are important, [Aiden replied simply enough.]
He'd likely still have to speak at least some, but I'll bring the idea up to him.

"Prerecorded"?
I suggested teaching to him a while ago since he's so good with the kids at Sam's afterschool program, but he said he couldn't because of his speech impediment... I didn't push it.

Children with disabilities struggle significantly more with getting adopted and many don't ever find a forever home. One of the biggest reasons for that is the extra costs that tend to come with hospital visits and necessary medical equipment. So we're going to take the financial blessings we've been given and translate that into being the forever home for one of the girls in that situation.
Keegan's fluent in ASL. He's been teaching me since we got engaged.

Keegan and I would like a daughter who is either Deaf or hard of hearing, [Aiden said matter-of-factly.]

You're welcome. And... thanks for stopping by, [he added. Aiden couldn't remember the last time he had said that phrase.]

I can tell, [Aiden offered lightly.]

[Aiden shrugged.] I like books.

[Aiden let out a cautious chuckle.] You know you really found The One when they find your dumb nonsense charming.

Heh, no kidding. So scary you say really dumb nonsense sometimes. But we all just have to do our best, right?

A library with a devoted children's section would be pretty cute.

[Aiden couldn't help but smile even wider at that. He knew that feeling--when you know you've met The One and you can't help but thank anyone who had a part of bringing them into your life... After he and Keegan got engaged, he sent a thank you card to the head of Damasus' housing board for randomly assigning them as roommates. In reality, the assignment was probably decided by a computer algorithm, but Aiden didn't care. Sometimes you just need to find someone tangible to thank.]
I like to think it was someone bigger than me, [Aiden admitted.] But... I'm glad to hear how things are going. Knowing you found the right person is... a complex feeling. A good feeling, but also a scary one, [he continued, getting surprisingly vulnerable.]
Of course! I won't make any official plans 'til we're all on board.
[Mason smiled right back at him.] Thanks! For saying I'm not so bad. But also... really thanks for bringing Nova. No matter what your intentions were and what comes of them... you can know that you made my life a whole lot better. And it means a lot to me.

Yeah, as much of a heads up at you can give, the better.
[Aiden blinked again at Mason, but this time... he smiled.] Uh... thanks. You're not too bad yourself.
Sorry. I've been stuck in a state of awkward for... well, my whole life, but especially this last year.
Anyway... I'll try to think of something fun we can do. But I'll check with you ahead of time! No surprises. I don't want to overwhelm Keegan either.
And I'm sorry again about coming off all... rude. I think you're awesome!

[Luke smiled softly.] Good point. We'd just have to make more room for How Do Dinosaurs Say Goodnight?
