The theme reminded me of an old Mermaid drawing i did back in 2019, so i redrew it, just to get back into drawing again, and boy o boy i feel so proud of this one ❤️

Slavic Love is not dead! ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤎🖤

I have at least one more art piece to add to the series. As for this one, we have a look inspired by Kurpie Zielone - suggested by my friend Dasha.

This piece is meant to represent few things: Perhaps an Ally?.. maybe someone is questioning somethint.. or maybe even just self love - because we all need it in our life.

Often when you're Slavic, it feels like you can't be an openly LGBTQ+ person without facing lots of prosecution. I myself feel rather privileged to live in an area that is more open minded about the LGBTQ+ community; but with this series I was hit with the harsh reality of how some of the Slavic community are unacceptive - not just for LGBTQ+ community, but it also feels that if I show any hint of colour in my characters, there will be critizising comments saying 'oh, why are they black/Asian/not white', like Slavic people of colour do not exist.

I got banned from a few groups, in few of them I don't post this series just for my mental health,

and I felt like I needed to take break. This is why I took a longer break.

But besides all of the neggativity, I have also gotten so many amazing comments of how my series made some of them feel accepted, and in the end - I will choose to focus on that. If someone gets mad at me for drawing two girls close to one another... well, this speaks more of their problems than my own.

I am hopefull and excited to embrace and keep building this beautiful accepting community on my pages, no matter what happens.

I've decided to expand on my Slavic monsters folder; they are always fun to imagine in my art style, and challenge myself with something new, usually extra lighting and background.

Rusałki are water spirits or demons, I know them as Boginki, not exactly gods, not exactly mortals. Rusalka are born when a woman drowns, either by suicide or murder, and they are known for drowning anyone who bathes between green week and Kupała night.

I’m taking a break from my Slavic love series as I am perfecting my ideas and making sure everyone is included, so for this week I decided to present you a redraw of an old piece of mine.

Had this sitting in my to-do folder for a while now, two years ago I posted art of Lady Midday, or Południca as we say in polish, and while looking at my old art I felt an urge to redraw it, so here we are. I feel like I improved the old piece, but what do you think?

So sorry for not posting last week, my hand was injured at work and I decided to give it a few days to rest and heal.

Now for the drawing, we got our first Hetero pair, of course trans, had to. 💙🤍💖

The idea is that the girl on right transitioned long time ago, and guy on left is just starting to transition. I can’t imagine how must it feel to learn that how you feel is not wrong and that you can succeed, that's why the guy is in awe. The girl is so happy to see someone on the journey, because first steps are the hardest.

Next week I have not decided yet, I know I want to do gender fluid and one more piece after that. I was thinking someone wondering about their sexuality, but I would love other suggestions.

Love for myself part two:

Got dared to draw an eldery person to be more inclusive with my series, and honestly so glad I did, it changed my initial idea for the better.

Often Ace people are told they won't be happy in their life, that they will regret it in future for not having partner and/or kids, so with this piece I wanted to show the person still happy, still dancing and still looking fabulous 💜💚 honestly this colour palette worked so well with Łowicz outfit.

Love for myself part one:

Drawing a non binary representing character was a bit of a challenge, because there is so many diverse non binary people, there is no way of showing it like I did with the homosexual couples. I was even thinking of drawing my character Diablo, travelers main character that is non binary but after talking with my friend Dasha for inspiration, we came up with the idea of a slavic preist, with a dress that isn’t completely form fitting, so you can't see too much.

Next week I'll post Ace representation.

Love is love part two;

I received so much positive feedback from the last piece I knew I wanted do more before pride month ends. This time I based the clothing of Tatra Mountain and Polidh Kaszub regions with colours of their respected flags, Gay and Pan (last one was lesbian and BI)

I also wanted to make this pair look like an older couple, so many homophobes keep saying that LGBTQ+ is an modern ideology, so ha! Here have tender husbands holding hands!
