You seem young or new to art, though, so I'll tell you why.

As of right now, AI art physically cannot understand the fundamentals of character design (which is the precise theme behind this tournament). It cannot understand the shape language, color theory, or other symbolism that are present in many good character designs.

The shapes, colors, or symbolism that may seem to be present in an AI generated work are stolen from other works made by artists that do know the fundamentals.

I must ask you to continue to push yourself and learn how to draw and design characters yourself. My favorite starting advice that I can give you is to take a show/movie/game etc. with a style you really like and trace the shapes. And watch/read tutorials, and if you can afford them or if your school offers them as curriculum, take art classes! (Although some art classes teach more of a general basis of art knowledge and very rarely do you get to learn character design).

Anyways, art is hard. I understand that very well. Often times, it won't turn out how you want, and you might get frustrated. But keep at it :) you'll go far. And don't be afraid to ask for help.
