David Adeleke, better known by his stage name Davido, is unquestionably one of Nigeria's wealthiest musicians, as well as one of the most successful and famous. After his father sponsored the university to build a music department for an initial class of one student, he graduated from Babcock in July 2015 with a second class upper with a degree in music. Davido's studio debut single, "Back When," was released in 2011, followed by "Dami Duro," produced by Shizzi. Following his first album, the DMW leader released his second studio album, "A Good Time," in 2019, and his third studio album, "A Better Time," in 2020, amidst the COVID-19 global pandemic. The album has surpassed 100 million streams on digital platforms since its release last year.

Davido has his own record label, Davido Music Worldwide, which he founded (DMW).

After signing a deal with Sony Music Inc. to release his music archives and songs on the international market, he founded his own label in 2016.

Nigerian Idol Judges Are Tad Trash – Frank Edoho Says, Consoles Bashed Boy

Nigerian media personality, producer and filmmaker Frank Edoho has slammed the judges on the Nigerian music talent show auditions, Nigerian Idol. This is coming as the audition of the music show held on Sunday and the judges didn’t hold back on their comments. Seyi Shay was particularly under fire the whole night even till the next day as she told a 17-year-old boy he couldn’t make it as a singer.

Taking to his Twitter handle, Frank Edoho said the judges should rather calm down and do their jobs. Describing them as a tad trash, he wrote, “I think the judges of Nigerian Idol should be calming down. They are a tad harsh. #nigerianidol“, he tweeted.

Frank Edoho further reacted to the tweet of the bashed boy, who said the criticism he got from Seyi Shay affected him emotionally and psychologically. Quoting his tweet, Frank motivated him. “Don’t let harsh words bring you down, Kiddo. Develop a strong tunnel vision towards your vision and the world will be your oyster“, he tweeted.
