What pokemon type team do you think the Miike brothers would have? And what pokemon do you think would be their partner while adventuring?

Pokemon Type: Dark/Electric

Reasoning: For the Electric part; in Katsugeki, Oodenta says this line, "Thunder tonight? That's too bad for you guys. I'm at my best condition when there's thunder.". I personally couldn't find anything directly connected to his story about storms or just thunder but I have a guess that it is a connection to the ghost story that is connected to him. It is a little less known but they would often make rounds late at night to make sure the castle was safe but due to it being so late (and possibly a storm to freak them out), they believed there was a ghost haunting them and making them unable go down this one hall and not letting them unsheathe their swords. Katō Kiyomasa gave his father, Toshiie, a fan to leave at the end of the hall as a test of courage. Toyotomi Hideyoshi heard of this story and called for Toshiie to give him Oodenta Mitsuyo to keep him safe due to his spiritual energy. Sure enough, Toshiie made it to the end of the hall with Oodenta in his hands.

Due to this, even if there is nothing stated clearly in his backstory, I think storms have a good connection with Oodenta for scaring off evil energies (and... sadly animals).

For the Dark pokemon type; Oodenta's whole life he had been shut away in a storehouse. Never to see the light of day until the two stories he is known for. The ghost story and for healing Kametsuru, Maeda Toshitsune´s daughter. It is said that even though he is known as a healing sword, his spiritual energy often kills things on accident. Like birds dropping dead whenever he is unsheathed. We see that in Hanamaru where Oodenta loves animals but purposely shuts himself in the storehouse to not hurt anyone, admiring the animals from afar. Which leads to him giving a quite gloomy atmosphere compared to his brother.

His Partner: Morpeko

Reasoning: I was actually not going to go with Morpeko at first. Instead I was going to go with Luxray. I believe Morpeko is the only Dark/Electric pokemon currently. The reason I went with them in the end is because even though I think Oodenta would be nervous around all the pokemon, I always see him having a more soft spoke for the really small ones. As cute as Morpeko is, they can handle themselves as well. I can see Morpeko being the cute little hamster that could make Oodenta warm up to them very quickly. Oodenta could make them food every day so they don't switch over to their Hangry Mode. Oodenta is probably not the best cook around, especially not at the beginning, but I see him putting his all into learning and making something his little partner would enjoy.

Pokemon Type: Psychic

Reasoning: I was originally going to put Ground type along with Psychic but I remembered that Sohayanotsurugi was buried with a previous master and that is a big source of his trauma. So probably best he did not have a ground type pokemon that goes under the ground! Like his brother, he very spiritually connected. He was deemed to be the protector of the Tokugawa Ieyasu family. Even if he is a copy, that doesn't take away the power he has. He is someone who is very connected to the energy of the world as well as the people around him. He is caring and will be that best friend that gives you advice when you need it. If that isn't what you are looking for, he will give the warmest hug to melt the worries away. I think Pokemon who are connected to the world and the emotions would work the best for such a sunshine boy like Sohayanotsurugi.

His Partner: Oranguru

Reasoning: First off, his name means Teacher Person. Even if Sohayanotsurugi's main purpose in his life isn't to be a teacher, he very much fits that role! Sohayanotsurugi is someone people can look upon for someone to follow and teach him due to his nature being so carefree and caring, yet also determined to make sure to give the right orders. Oranguru is a spiritual pokemon as well, often found mediating in the forest and giving food to pokemon in need. It has a lofty attitude and will give other Pokémon orders. Much like Sohayanotsurugi. "It may also be based on the mythical satori, an ape-like yōkai that could read human minds.", Sohayanotsurugi can't exactly read minds like the yokai or even this pokemon, but he can garner a good idea of what may be troubling others from their reactions and body language. Sohayanotsurugi is helpful to all around him, ready to be their emotional support just like his partner, Oranguru.
