If you’ve followed me for awhile now, you know I haven’t pushed out any new Nintendo 3DS cases in FOREVER (or a year and a half-ish to be exact). Yesterday I finally stopped being lazy and decided to take on this request from an Etsy customer. Lucario will be hitting my Etsy store shelves in January!

Unbeatable find at the local Gooodwill yesterday! The Greatest Hits version of FFIX was purchased somewhere else a long time ago, but the original FFIX, FF Tactics and FF Anthology were in a glass case at the Goodwill during the 50% off all goods sell! The cases aren't in perfect shape, but the discs are! Got IX and Tactics for $5 each and Anthology for $7! I have no clue how these we're still there by 4pm, but finders keepers.

So a Hobby Lobby just opened up where I live! Although I saw lots of amazing things, nothing will beat how excited I was to see the massive amount of felt selection I've seen yet! They even had a decent selection of thicker felt sheets.

Well, I know for a fact that I will be making this 3ds case! I may not be playing Pokemon Go right now due to phone incompatibility, but I do love me some Team Instinct! I've seen fanart where Spark has either yellow or blue eyes... I might go with blue eyes just to have more color, but if I do make this available in my Etsy shop, I will give an option to choose the eye color! This is also going to be my first case that has lips! I feel that I need it for this case! The other colors of the case is inspired from Spark's outfit.

I really wanted to art this weekend so I decided to draw an original character I came up with from a failed 30 day art challenge I was trying to do. I’m not sure why I’m so attached to this character despite not having a background story or name for him prior to today. For some reason I kept thinking of crows as I was working on the line art and decided to do a bit of research before coloring him. Crows can symbolize either positive or negative things depending on how you wanna see them. Some believe crows symbolize the core of creation, are magical, and intelligent. Others see them as a bad omen, a symbol of death, and mischievous. What I found most interesting was that a group of crows are called “Murders” and the technique they use to get rid of larger predators as a group is called “mobbing”. As we also know, crows are common birds throughout the world. Due to this, I decided to name this character Tsuneo, which means “common man” in Japanese. Not only that, Tsuneo sounds unique compared to other names I was searching up.
