This a so fun to read. Those watery blue eyes and pink lips, Pierre is so mermaid.
Can you write another of merman! Pierre Gasly, he gives off mermaids, water and ocean vibes, and I absolutely loved the first one you wrote. Could you add the link to the first one too? I couldn't find it.
Caught out in the rain— Merman Pierre Gasly x Mage reader
Pierre knew what he was doing when he went outside in the rain. He knew this was ridiculous but he was desperate. He didn't know how to get your attention so desperate times called for desperate measures. Pierre went to a College for Supernatural people; he was a merman.
You were walking back to campus in the pouring rain. You were a mage at the top of your class but you wouldn’t call yourself a genius so what was this merman doing without his water protection charms?
“Hey, are you okay?” You asked the man who sprouted a tail.
“Not really can you help me?” He asked, looking desperate.
“Yeah sure hold on” you replied.
Pierre watched as you summoned up a portable. Huh, he knew that you had to be supernatural. He just didn’t know what creature was a mage and a powerful one to buy the color of your magic.
“Ok uh brace yourself some people get sick when traveling through portals”
Pierre braced himself. He had traveled via portals before but always via others' portals. He had never created one himself. He expected to feel dizzy or at least queasy. He had felt both before but not from traveling via the portal.
The rain was pouring down heavily and Pierre was desperate to get out of it without getting wet. His gills were out and he felt very vulnerable, he had heard of what people did to people like him. Not having his charm had made him extra nervous, he was glad this mage was here to save him.
He got that awful spinning feeling that would make his stomach turn and eventually, his eyes started to water. He was not enjoying this experience but he was glad that he was not out in the rain. He hoped that you were taking him somewhere dry.
Eventually, the feeling subsided and he was glad that he had kept his eyes closed, he was sure this could not have been a pretty sight. He opened his eyes and looked up at you. "are we there?" he was a little embarrassed but this was a side of himself that no one else had seen before…
You noticed that he was a little embarrassed. He was used to being seen as a creature of myth - a merperson. He had not expected to be taken in by a mage and yet now he was being brought to your dorm by a powerful mage. He kept quiet as he tried not to think about the fact he was dripping water everywhere. He was also feeling a little guilty that he had forced this upon you, bringing you out in the rain just so that you could help him.
“Let’s dry you off,” you said conjuring up a small wind spell
Pierre looked in amazement as you created a wind spell. He knew that you were powerful but he had not expected you to display that skill for simply helping him. He let the wind pass over him, drying his clothes and hair. Pierre was impressed by your spell casting and the more he thought about it the more impressed he was.
“So what happened to your protection charm,” you asked, drying him off.
Pierre was hoping that you would not ask him this. He looked down at the ground and rubbed the back of his neck. "Well, uhm, I kinda lost it.." he looked up at you. You were the most powerful mage on campus, if anyone was going to understand how easy it would be to lose the charm it would have to be you.
You smile a small smile nodding your head “Been there I lose mine all the time but luckily for you, I can make one up for you real quick” you said
Pierre could not believe his luck, he had been standing out in the rain and you had not only rescued him but you were also offering to make him a brand new protection charm, and you could do it quickly as well. Pierre now felt guilty that you were going out of your way to help him, there was no way that he could thank you enough.
“What’s your name?” You asked the man
Pierre was still trying to process your kindness. He hadn't noticed that you didn't know his name. He knew who you were but you probably just didn't know who he was. "Uh, my name is Pierre."
“I’m Y/n if you didn’t know that already I’m not tea the outgoing type,” you said digging through your box of crystals and trying to find the right one.
Pierre felt like an idiot, he knew that you were Y/n now but he was so distracted. He was also surprised that you had been able to hold a full-on conversation with him without asking any further questions about him being a merperson out in the rain. He decided he needed to start pulling his weight in this so-called conversation. "Your name is very suitable, you know..."
Pierre knew that that was cheesy as soon as it came out of his mouth. He should have just stuck to simple thank yous, he thought he had just made this even more awkward. He watched as you dug through your crystals pulling out a nice blue one that reminded him of the color of the scale of his tails. The thought of you finding the perfect one made his heart leap out of his chest.
You looked up at Pierre catching him staring at you he looked away quickly blushing at the fact that he had been caught red handed.
“So tell me Pierre, are all merfolk this desperate?” You asked, teasing him.
“I uh well no not really it’s just that I didn’t know how to approach you” he admitted.
“Do all mages come off as cold and brash?”
“No just me” you replied, finishing the new charm.
“Here you go,” you said, handing it over to him.
“Thank you”
“You're welcome,” you said.
“Hey, do you want to go out sometime?” Pierre asked
“Yeah why not” you said smiling.
“One more question, can you make me a portal back to my dorm? I really don’t want to walk?”
“Sure” you say conjuring a portal.
“See you around Pierre” you say pushing the portal towards him.
