My craft cocktail experiment was a success 👌

INGREDIENTS: 4 sprigs rosemary 1/2 cup honey 1/2 cup water 5 oz vodka (or gin) Juice of 1 grapefruit Sprite

*all measurements approximate due to my impatience 😎

Bring honey and water to a boil. Add rosemary, stir, remove from heat and set aside to let cool. Pour vodka, grapefruit juice and cooled honey-rosemary syrup into a shaker. Shake and pour over ice. Add splash of sprite and garnish with rosemary sprig. Voilá!

next stop: HONG KONG

in a few weeks time, i will embark on a new journey to the far away land known as hong kong. a mix of emotions are flooding over me as the time comes closer. i feel excited/nervous/hopeful/hesitant/sad/etc all for very different reasons, of course. i'm excited to finally give asia another try, after korea and i didn't get along very well last year. i'm done having negative thoughts about the continent as a whole because of one lousy month there long ago. i'm determined to make my trip to hong kong amazing; make lasting friends, build my book with tearsheets, see unforgettable sights, taste exotic foods, and ultimately form a whole new positive feeling about asia. I WANT TO LOVE ASIA.

i'm sad because i feel that i may lose a relationship that is so very important to me. to avoid being tacky and blubbering about relationship issues, i'm going to stop here. but for the record, i really truly love this person with all of my heart. what's meant to work out will one day <3

it's too bad that i'm going to spend my first christmas and new years without family and friends, but i'm afraid time is of the essence and certain sacrifices must be made. i did choose this career after all! i will make it back just in time to attend my sister's wedding in las vegas. christmas comes every year, but your oldest sibling only gets married once (hopefully haha). but seriously, i wouldn't miss it for the world!

so where's next on the list? london? cape town? paris? oh the possibilities! i feel very blessed to have a job that allows me to do what i love almost anywhere in the world. only time will tell where i'll end up next, but i feel i have a very exciting road ahead of me :)
