How do you come up with the outfits for the characters? Have you studied fashion design or something similar? I really love the outfits you create for them

Thanks anon! Not fashion but yes, I have a background releted to costume design.

I often choose a thematic element to start from. For example, with the nobles of Asoiaf I use their heraldry a lot because I like that a character is immediately recognizable by what they are wearing. I often make random sketches to try to come up with new ideas on how to use these same elements differently.

Then maybe I incorporate things from historical periods and/or other works of art that remind me of the "right" vibe. Like, I feel like the Dothraki's main inspiration is supposed to be the Mongols but when I design their clothes my head goes to cowboys for some reason...

I'm not very consistent in style between one artwork and another, because in the artworks I do for fun I try to experiment a bit, but I like to maintain the same thread within the same illustration. For example, the portrait of the Boltons that I did recently is inspired by the portraiture of Moroni (a sixteenth-century Italian painter that I love).

Just have fun and sketch a lot 🥰

Why are people fixated on the physical aspect of arya?

Like it's just some more ammo in the game to pit the two traumatized minors one against the other or it has some relevance for the plot?

Does Arya's appearance have some relevance to the plot ? Hmm 🤔...I wonder.... let me think...You mean...

Arya who looks and act like Lyanna Stark, the Stark who was a central figure of Robert and Ne's rebellion, whose secret son Jon, look like Arya and therefore like Lyanna ?

Arya who met and his very close with both the bastard of Robert Baratheon and Jon Snow, the son of Rhaegar Targaryen ? Wait that sound familiar ? I wonder why 🤔? Who, Bran thought was Lyanna because of her physical appearance when he first saw Lyanna in the flashbacks ?

Arya, who has insecurities about her physical appearance, including the fact that she was called Arya Horseface and who was so afraid that her mother wouldn't want her due to said insecurities about being an a lady (and that include her appearance). Arya who is told several times that she is beautiful and is about to do an internship with the courtisans of Braavos ?

Are you coming to the blogs of people who say Arya is ugly and ask them if they are deciding to pit two teenagers against each other ? If you are. Congrats, you are not hypocritical at least 👍.

Also, explain to me, how saying: "Arya is beautiful too, here is some quotes from the books" is pitting the girls against each other ?

No seriously, explain it to me like I'm three years old.

Also, I specifically didn't tag Sansa and tagged anti Sansa Stark even though I wasn't saying anything bad about her. I haven't posted about Arya in a while,now,why are you coming into my blog ?
