landlord just sent out a text that they're starting periodic apartment walk througha to assess the state of them. so the birds are going to have to undergo a lifestyle change - being locked in their cage while im gone. technically they arent allowed out of it lol
#my poor babies they were a little mad#i dont leave super often though mostly for class#and the office is closed when im at work so thats fine#but i just deep cleaned every last evidence of birds outside the cage from my room and im gonna have to do that every day now#they wont tell us when theyre doing it and idk if they tell us when its done#i hope so because i would like to let my birds continue to menace my room#simon says

Small artists you need to understand that when you see an artist who you think has 'made it' tells you not to worry about the numbers and to not fret about getting more likes than reblogs they are not telling you it because they think you are stupid for caring or because they dont need to network to survive they are very likely telling you that because they have witnessed first hand the way the numbers game tears people to shreds in terms of mental health and motivation

went to the craft store yesterday and finally bought myself some nicer oil pastels after owning artists loft for 3 years. best decision i have ever made in my life
#whats crazy is theyre not even like super nice theyre just not artists loft#im convinced AL puts something in their products that makes them so uncomparably shitty#like ive had colored pencils oil pastels and a few other random things from them and its all terrible#artists loft may be the cheapest option in most places but for like 3 dollars more you can get: a product that works#im so so so happy to have good oil pastels again#simon says

the birds have been on a paper towel ban since birch cant behave, but i ripped one up for them to play with after juniper was especially destructive this morning. and i am very proud to announce that birch has gone a whopping 3 hours without putting any of it in their water dish!
