I think there's something so special about straight t4t relationships. The way that we can both watch each other find joy in the things we deemed agonizing. Growing up as a girl is hell for me, but seeing the confidence in her eyes as she wears a skirt in public for the first time makes me so glad she gets to enjoy something I never could. I used to be unable to imagine why anyone would want to be a girl because I thought it was only despair and hurting and fear. But now I get to watch her embrace the gentle feminine divinity that never graced me. She says it makes her happy to see me transition and she sees how much I enjoy boyhood. In fact, my girlfriend is the sole reason I was able to accept myself as a trans boy after forcefully detransitioning myself for so long. There's something so special about watching someone embrace what you couldn't.

Nobody who seriously talks about transandrophobia believes trans women have systemic power over trans men, or that trans women oppress trans men.

No one has said that. Nobody thinks that. Nobody fucking believes that, because we are not a pack of frumpy little morons in desperate need of more critical thinking skills!

Transandrophobes keep claiming that's what we think, because it shuts people down and keeps them from engaging with what we are actually talking about: discrimination that targets trans men and transmascs, or people with overlapping experiences with us.
