“When somebody comes in with gender dysphoria that’s bad enough that they are having suicidal ideation or they can’t live their best life, doing nothing is not an option.”-Dr. Michael Haller, Professor and Chief of Pediatric Endocrinology at the University of Florida.

I know the feeling that you are currently feeling right now if you live in the USA. Right now is the time to use your voice. Stand up for your rights and what you believe in. We will not be defined by this and we will together rise against this. This is a time in which we shall lean on each other for support and stand up for one another. We will rise. We have rights. We STAND FOR OUR RIGHTS!

Over 6 months of medically transitioning and I am starting to feel amazing. The path to getting on testosterone was hell but I made it and with support I know you can too! Just take it day by day, don’t forget your dreams, this about you don’t let anyone talk you down from it. Always remember Haters are gonna hate and you are amazing! Feel free to message me if you want any resources or anything! You all are amazing and so strong. ~Björn

So I am realizing, what is going to happen if pride gets canceled. Does that give us permission to have virtual pride and completely crash the internet servers?

While I lay in my bed,
memories fill my head with dread.
For me there will be no school tomorrow, there hasn’t been one in almost a year now.
CONTENT WARNING:
BULLYING, DISCRIMINATION, TRANSPHOBIA, INVESTIGATION, HOMOPHOBIA, ABUSE, ASSAULT & HORRENDOUS EDUCTION SYSTEMS
Discrimination against Lgbtqqiaap+ people in schools is a serious issue that is not taken seriously. I have been bullied in every year of schooling I have been in, no matter the school, no matter the teachers just nothing ever really changed much. It all became very apparent to me when a bully of mine who had been at a previous school came to another school that I had just joined. I had left that school because of that incident. It was bad. There was serious paperwork and an investigation done with a big bullying clinic which that said school ended up denying it ever happened. I got blamed by the teachers and staff and they told me horrible things and blamed me for all that had happened. I had every screenshot and all the evidence but they refused to take any of it. So I switched schools, once and then again. And finally when I was starting to feel safe kinda, even though this was on the back burner of my mind, that same person was now in what was my last school ever. For K-12. They had no records, my PTSD was out of control they knew nothing had happened and had apologized over and over again. Then when the school eduction person from my town saw this she kicked me out of the school and said I would be better off dropping out or being sent away to a residential school. A school that would “fix” me and take me away from everyone I love and my family. That is when I knew that transphobia is NOT taken seriously in schools. They do not know how to deal with it. Many other things had happened at this school but this was the main breaking point. Even after being assaulted by another student months prior and them not taking it seriously. They also switched all my classes so I wasn’t in any of the classes the people who had done these things to me. But the hurtful people had no schedule change whatsoever. It was like they never did anything wrong. I was the one who had to change for something I didn’t even do wrong. I ended up not even able to go to a bulk of these classes because of the students who had hurt me. Why do they victimize the person who has been hurt and not confront and hold the hurtful people accountable? Is that not what life is all about? And there is only so much pushing you can do. So much resielence, and I snapped.
Every LGBTQQIAAP+ member of a school, deserves equality. They deserve respect, their rights, to feel safe at school, to not be targeted or harassed or worse and be taken seriously by adults when these issues are raised. I am willing to fight this battle head on. People want to get lawyers involved, then sure. This is unacceptable the way they are treating people like myself and others. We deserve our rights.
Plus if this is happening to me, it has to be happening or happened to someone else too.

LYRICS TO THE SONG
“No, your mom don't get it
And your dad don't get it
Uncle John don't get it
And you can't tell grandma
'Cause her heart can't take it
And she might not make it
They say, "Don't dare, don't you even go there
Cutting off your long hair"
You do as you're told
Tell you, "Wake up, go put on your makeup
This is just a phase you're gonna outgrow"
There's something wrong in the village
In the village, oh
They stare in the village
In the village, oh
There's nothing wrong with you
It's true, it's true
There's something wrong with the village
With the village
There's something wrong with the village
Feel the rumors follow you from Monday all the way to Friday dinner
You got one day of shelter,
Then it's Sunday hell to pay, you young lost sinner
Well, I've been there, sitting in that same chair
Whispering that same prayer half a million times
It's a lie, though buried in disciples
One page of the Bible isn't worth a life
There's something wrong in the village
In the village, oh
They stare in the village
In the village, oh
There's nothing wrong with you
It's true, it's true
There's something wrong with the village
With the village
There's something wrong with the village
There's something wrong in the village
In the village, oh
They stare in the village
In the village, oh
There's nothing wrong with you
It's true, it's true
There's something wrong with the village
With the village
There's something wrong with the village”

Hey! Here’s a bit of good news from May just in case you haven’t heard it yet. I know I hadn’t! This decision has to do with how being transgender is defined, and while you all know who you are and you don’t need approval to be who you are from anyone else, issues of definition being resolved publicly is something to be celebrated.
The World Health Organization officially declared being transgender to not be a mental illness. Which, hey, should’ve been done before now, but progress is progress. Legislation around transgender issues has been fairly negative in recent years (I’m looking at you, North Carolina HB2 and HB142). So this is wonderful!
This is a good thing for the trans community, but it’s not an ultimate equalizer, as even those involved in the decision admit that “it is somewhat reductive to define trans health as related only to sexual health” as gender identity is more complex than that, but for now, it’s a nice decision that removes some of the public stigma from transgender individuals.
The issue of group identification is prevalent in all relationships for all people, but in this context it is particularly relevant because the LGBT+ community often has a polarizing, us vs. them mentality when it comes to how society at large views us, and the trans community in particular has been unfairly targeted by hate groups and cruel legislation. This public decision will hopefully take some ammunition away from those who have asserted that trans people with having mental illness, as now the authorities on the subject have stated the exact opposite. Bigotry will still exist, but now they’ll have less to back them up. Being trans isn’t a mental illness, it’s just a part of who some people are, and that’s something that needs to be protected and understood. This is a step in the right direction.

Hi! Just thought I would introduce myself! :)
I am not totally sure I am ready to be putting my full name or any very personal information on here yet, so for now you can either call me Blaer. I am 18 and from the USA. I am a transgender male (FTM OR AFAB) and use he/him/his pronouns. I currently identify as panromantic, although still trying to figure everything out! I am medically transitioning at the moment and almost 4 months on testosterone. From all the oppression I have faced with my gender, sexuality and romantic attraction along with all the unfortunate things I have seen people go through in the LGBTQQIAAP+ community. I wanted to raise awareness, today is the day that this all begins. I have been hiding in the shadows I feel for a long time and people need to be heard and represented loud and clearly because their stories are valid and what they have gone through is valid. I refuse to let anyone be hurt for who they truly are. People should be able to be themselves without having to live in fear and have peace for themselves.
