Colonel Shinonome and her loyal, ever-present Lieutenant Asahina. Ena is still called the flame alchemist, since she still uses flame alchemy as her specialty

The other members of the team are: Sergeant Azusawa, Warrant officer Hinomori, 2nd lieutenant Shiraishi, and 2nd lieutenant Hoshino

And Ena’s best friend is, of course, Lieutenant colonel Momoi. Married to Shizuku with a beautiful daughter!

Then there’s Prince Rui Kamishiro and his two shadows, Nene and Mizuki. Later on, when he gets injected with Greed he becomes Avarui

The other Xingese emperor candidate whose come to amestris in search of immortality is Emu Ootori! With a little rabbit friend in tow.

Tenma siblings but everything is so much worse! Also Toya is Winry, but Toya and Tsukasa do not have a romantic relationship.

I didn’t see any reason to change the armor visually, except things the siblings would change themselves (decoration basically) so the hair thing is separated and dyed pink at the tips to look more like Saki’s hair and the loin cloth is frilly and decorated (both of these things Tsukasa did for Saki to help her feel more comfortable)

Instead of dead parents, both of Toya’s older brothers were drafted and killed instead. Also Toya’s mom is a surgeon (regular) so she helps him out with some stuff, but can only do so much since she isn’t specialized in automail

I thought Liu qingge was long haired cloud (so yes I pictured him as blonde) and Liu Mingyan’s veil was attached to a hat that covered her *entire* face not just the bottom half of it-

White and black lily but it’s mafukasa

Mafuyu’s the crown princess of the Asahina Kingdom and Tsukasa is her loyal attendant

Tsukasa is from a wealthy but non noble family that run a tavern/inn, and only met Mafuyu by chance when she got lost outside the castle.

They were both young (9~10), so when she told Tsukasa she lived in the castle, he assumed she was a child of a worker and thought nothing of guiding her back to the gate.

Turns out Mafuyu was actually the princess, so when he showed up with her, it was quite the ordeal. Poor Tsukasa was not treated very well by the guards and it took quite a bit of convincing on Mafuyu’s part that they didn’t immediately lock him away

After the two are brought to the queen, Tsukasa was overjoyed when, after explaining the situation, not only was she not going to punish him, but also offered him a reward for returning her daughter

He asked for her royal healers to help his ill younger sister. But he ended up getting more than he asked for, as the queen granted him the “reward” of becoming her daughter’s attendant (not something he wanted, but you can’t turn down royalty)

Tsukasa is from that point forward brought up in the castle by Mafuyu’s side, learning everything he would need to know to serve her. The training is brutal, he’s never allowed out to see his family, and the queen, who rules over it all with an iron fist, also uses other, definitely illegal, methods to enforce his loyalty to her and Mafuyu

And we already know how the queen treats mafuyu, the biggest difference from how she treats Tsukasa is she doesn’t physically hurt mafuyu.

Halfa Tsukasa!

Young Tsukasa Tenma he was just 16

When his best friend built a very strange machine

Designed to make a show better than ever seen-

The partial death happened during wonder halloween, Rui discovered ectoplasm (although he didn’t know that’s what it was) and realized he could use it as a cheap, reusable fuel source for his creations. So his robo zombie had an ectoplasmic fuel core, which Tsukasa accidentally smashed (the robot and its core) during his fall, causing it to flow out all over. The ectoplasm reacted with the exposed electrical parts and fried Tsukasa who was in the middle of the mess, killing him. Partially. Since there was so much ectoplasm it uhh “rearranged his molecules” turning Tsukasa into a half ghost, half human instead of a full corpse!

A portal to the ghosts zone also opened right in that spot and it’s tied there until Tsukasa fully dies. So now any manner of ghost can pass (haha) through freely, and since Tsukasa opened the portal it’s, of course, his responsibility to put any ill intended ghosties back in their zone!

And Rui should probably also help out considering it’s also his fault this all happened. Emu and Nene are good friends who saw it all go down and are trying to convince the other half of the group they aren’t at fault and have nothing to take responsibility for, while also making sure they don’t get themselves killed, or fully killed.

I like to think ghosts from different places will reflect their culture’s idea of what would be expected for a ghost to look like. So a lot of the ghosts the group sees would be based around Japanese myths about spirits. Tsukasa looks like he does because he has to follow the halfa rule of just being themself but inverted colors, and doesn’t know how to manipulate ectoplasm well enough to change how he looks in ghost form.

Also considering making Tenpapa’s high paying, unknown job be something in the government that covers up the existence of ghosts. Normally by exterminating them, occasionally they will keep one alive for experimentation. And since there’s now a huge increase in ghost activity in Tokyo, centered seemingly in an area very close to where the Tenma’s live, well it seems like a no brainer to assign Tenpapa to that area. So now he’s suddenly home a lot more, talking about safety procedures dealing with ‘unknown threats’, all while hunting down his own son. Just to bring back the fun ‘my parents want me dead’ angst from DP!

Ace is my character in a ttrpg I play. He’s a 22 yr old phantom thief, he’s also 4’11 and strictly anti-killing. He also prefers to avoid hurting anyone when possible.

Rui and Saki as monster designs

Idk I’m imagining they exist in some sort of Silent hill esque context. Rui’s design would defo exist in his own silent hill as a reflection of how he’s been othered, in part due to his ‘dangerous’ interest in machines-

It would attack Rui outright, but if another person trapped could interact with it I think it’d follow them around harmlessly. Unless they acted afraid of it, in which case it would get angry and attack.

Idk if Saki’s would exist for Tsukasa or one of the L/N girls, Saki excluded I think hers would be more specific hospital related monsters, I’m leaning toward L/N since I’d think they feel more guilt about “abandoning” Saki and this design is like ‘Think about all the things she went through that you’ll never know about, because you weren’t there!’

The Saki monster is hyper aggressive, it’s in a lot of pain and is trying to make it stop. It makes constant wheezing noises, like a balloon losing air, while it rolls around and makes a garbled ‘thank you’ sound when you kill it
