Kalangamman Island is truly the definition of detached from everything. It lies in the middle of the Visayan Sea just south east of Malapascua. It endured a tough storm during the most recent typhoon & I spent the afternoon Freediving just offshore at the 18m mooring. 

I dove right on the edge of the huge wall that dropped off to 50 plus meters. I was down at 18m cruising around all the sea life down there and ventured over the cliff into the abyss. Some of the most spiritual satisfying diving I have down in a while.

This is a panoramic of Gato Island. This pinnacle is in the middle of nowhere and is loaded with sea life below and around the base of the island. Some of the local sea life are White Tip Sharks, Frogfish, Cuddlefish, Nudi’s and has some sick caves to explore.
