They both wish for it ever since their first meeting, even when neither wants to be the first to ask, to hope that the other might feel the same.

It is a big ask, because they are from such different cultures and have had to carry the expectations of others for so long and been wounded by love.

In the end, it is Tauriel who says those seemingly small words which will change everything as much as their lips softly meeting does. She tastes mortality again, and knows she’ll mourn again… but the happiness will be well worth the pain.

Year of the OTP is officially back for 2025 with a new set of prompts!

we've switched some of the prompt categories around in an effort to make the event more inclusive of all kinds of fanworks. we've also included song prompts this year! the playlist is on spotify here.

we want to give a huge thank you to everyone who participated in the last event - it grew so much larger than we ever expected and it's truly amazing how you all took our last set of prompts and made so many wonderful things. keep it up!

She feels like she can finally breathe as she comes with a soft knock, offering a smile that touches Amanda in a way no smile before has as she turns.

There are no words for this, at least none that Amanda can find within herself, all she can do is hope that Fie sees her like she aches to be seen now she understands what’s always been missing.

Maybe she does and another summer will come and then...
