I want to go back to the days of calling our significant others our “lovers”. Old fashioned, yes, but it is a term deeply rooted in gay and lesbian history, when same sex couples would refer to their romantic partners as their lovers to be ambiguous about their respective genders. Other than that, it’s just such a beautiful term of endearment that I wish we still would use today.

Some uses for lavender:

- Wear the oil, perfume or essence of lavender as a way to attract men, women -or whatever you are into- towards you. Men especially are attracted towards lavender; prostitutes were  known to wear lavender in ancient times to draw in clients.

- Drink a tea of lavender before doing any mental or psychic work; it is said to increase both mental and psychic abilities.

- Burn it or scatter it around your house to ward off evil spirits; as well as cleanse and raise the vibes.

- Scatter a mixture of lavender and rosemary across your doorway to keep unwanted guests * and that really irritating postman*

-Carry some on or around you (ex: keep a sprig in your purse or pocket, wear some oil of it on yourself, throw some in your sock drawer, etc.) for a longevity in your life.

- Add some into your skincare to bring a youthful glow and essence to your skin and body.

Witchy things to do and not do at school

Things to do:

-wear a pentacle (or any other witchy symbol) necklace and tuck it under your shirt. If you're not worried about any possible bullying, wear it like a normal necklace.

-draw sigils on your school work or in a seperate notebook. Just say you like abstract art, if someone asks.

-wear clothes that remind you of being a witch. Maybe have a graphic tee with plants or the elements on it. Or shirts with witchy quotes on it. Or some seasonal or holiday themed clothes. Or a shirt with a picture of the species of your familiar.

-only do tarot readings for friends and keep your cards safe.

-cast a spell to keep yourself safe and calm before school starts that morning.

-cleanse your school supplies and work.

Things to not do-

-don't tell everyone you're a witch. There's probably someone who won't like that and hurt you or bully you.

-dont bring anything that could be considered a weapon or looks even a bit dangerous. So, no blades or athames.

-dont bring any herbs or plants that people may be allergic to.

-dont go against the dress code or any policy in general.

Note- be careful what you say and do and do your research on your school's guidelines before doing, wearing or bringing anything!
