Good morning! The rune for this week is Wunjo!

I think I have mentioned before... that I really love this rune, because, right now (and always), we all need a bit more joy.

Anyway...

Wunjo is the rune of joy, accomplishment, celebration, harmony, and prosperity. Right now, Mercury is in retrograde, so those if us more heavily affected by it will definitely appreciate the harmony Wunjo brings. This could be improved interactions in with those around you, or harmony within, or both. Some of you will receive good news this week, or will have a reason to celebrate, like an accomplishment or a positive shift in a current situation.

For some reason, an art challenge I participated in came to mind. The theme was Finding Joy in the Smallest of Things. So, if some you are facing some major challenges this week or are anticipating a difficult week, Wunjo reminds you celebrate those moments of joy you experience amidst the turmoil. And, take some time to do something that brings you joy this week.

‘The Ghetto Tarot’: Haitian artists transform classic tarot deck into stunning real life scenes:

Welcome to the Ghetto Tarot, a project from award-winning documentary photographer Alice Smeets and a group of Haitian artists known as Atis Rezistans. The idea was to take the classic Rider-Waite tarot deck of 78 cards and create a photographic version of each card using settings and objects in the vibrant ghetto of Haiti.

As Smeets says, “The spirit of the Ghetto Tarot project is the inspiration to turn negative into positive while playing. The group of artists ‘Atiz Rezistans’ use trash to create art with their own visions that are a reflection of the beauty they see hidden within the waste. They are claiming the word ‘Ghetto,’ thus freeing themselves of its depreciating undertone and turning it into something beautiful.”

Greetings! This week's rune is Ehwaz again.

Ehwaz is the rune of progress, movement, travel and/or relocation, trust, harmony, loyalty, etc. Ehwaz is the horse rune -- indicative of mutual respect and cooperation, and transportation. The ride will be smoother if horse and rider have mutual trust and respect for each other. Some will encounter situations where cooperation, possibly with somebody you don't usually work well with, is the vehicle to achieve a desired outcome. This could include a new partnership or collaboration, or a situation where teamwork is needed to find a mutually beneficial solution. Ehwaz can also be indicative of a journey. While some of you will receive or give a physical or monetary gift, you could be enjoying another form of generosity (time, for instance, is very valuable, so additional investment of time and effort can be an act of generosity). I visited a local cemetery earlier this week. I love cemetery walking anyway, but this was actually a personal "visit" for someone important to me (long very personal story -- and to protect his privacy and the privacy of his parents and the rest of his family, I'm not going to tell the story here). The cemetery has a woods on the property (there are a few paths into the woods, so as far as I can tell, walking in the woods is permitted), so after a very emotional visit (I gave a few gifts and talked to him for a bit), I went for a walk in the woods. I am posting a few photos from the woods here, including signs of spring (second photo). I have been reflecting on the cycle of death and rebirth lately... and...
