anxious girl rep

the way that she calls charlie "charles" for no other reason than it presumably annoys him

the fact that she gives charlie the most shit out of anyone but still genuinely tries to look out for his best interest (giving him a book to help his anxiety, calling out the others if they leave him)

her whole backstory-- she was traumatized by her friend's murder, but still agreed to report on other murder cases because she wanted to help people

no but i really do love the fact that she's such a serious character but she unabashedly has a comfort item that lends her strength in the face of trauma

and she will call your ass out if you make fun of her for it

her whole iconic look. the purple nails, the sunglasses, the ripped jeans, the plaid. this girl is bisexual

it's heavily implied that she might have some body image issues?? the fact that multiple character remark about her need for makeup and good lighting, her desire to look perfect on camera, and that her flashlight item is a cosmetic mirror?? i feel like there's a lot to be explored there, especially since simply being vain doesn't fit her character at all

she is the only character to outright tell other characters to sacrifice her for the greater good (telling jamie to run instead of helping her, telling mark to let her die instead of being dumet's puppet, telling jamie again to not feel guilty about letting her get crushed)

kate saw this neurotic mess of a director and decided to just give him a book to help his anxiety??

sure he didn't appreciate it but the thought was so sweet... kate knew from her ptsd how hard it was to be plagued with anxiety so she gave him a resource to try and recover so he wouldn't be stuck like her

erin specifically mentions how nice kate is to her

jamie and kate have the lowest relationship and it never gets much higher but kate still tries her hardest to save jamie whenever she can
