Mario and Bowser find a mine kart and decide that this is the way out. Bowser still says that he is super in love with Luigi.

It's wedding time! And fake Bowser is going to have mind controlled Luigi for his own!

They crash the wedding! Bowser is pissed, because this fake is gonna marry his husband! Fake Bowser laughs. The facade melts to reveal--

King Boo! He wants Luigi because plot reasons! And no one's going to stop him!

His minions are chipping away at the force field that Luigi and Kamak have totally been taking care of this whole time. They're gonna break in at any moment!

Rosalina decides to stop him because she's the most powerful of the princesses.

And she fainted. Sad.

"Mario knew something was up all along! But you didn't believe him!" Mario slaps King Boo's hand away. Meanwhile, Bowser is slinking closer to his hypnotized husband.

Bowser manages to snap Luigi out of it. There seems to be no hope, aside from just saving his man. They decide to kiss one last (?) Time. Ba-bam! Love magic! The boos are sent away with the power of love and the day is saved. Wedding planning (for real this time) happens. Everything is going great and Luigi gets to wear his mom's dress.

As Bowser is walking down the aisle, Mario nudges Luigi. "How did you get him to marry you?" "I told him he'd get to annoy you however much he wanted." They both giggle at that.

A Koopa Kingdom Wedding (based on MLP)

Luigi gets mad. Mario upset his husband to be over a petty rivalry! Luigi walks up to Mario. "I have to go comfort my husband. I would go back to the Mushroom Kingdom if I were you." Everyone else stares at him with hatred.

Mario mopes around the ballroom, being sad that everyone hates him now and reminiscing.

Bowser, seemingly all better now, comes up to him and pets his head. Mario pleads "I'm sorry!" Bowser smiles at him, before it turns sinister.

Fire surrounds Mario as he starts to sink into the floor. Bowser walks away, saying, "You will be."

Mario finds himself in the mines under the Koopa Kingdom. Bowser laughs at him, taunting him that no one will even try to look for him. Mario starts fighting the illusion of Bowser, before breaking through a wall and finding him.

He tackles Bowser to the ground, Bowser screaming "Don't hurt me!" Bowser turns to look at him, and starts laughing, pushing Mario off of him.

"Ha! Short!" Bowser says. Mario has a revelation. "You're the real Bowser!" "What gave it away, my charming good looks?" "No, you're unapologetically mean!"

Meanwhile, fake Bowser is preparing for the wedding, ranting about about he has fooled everyone!

Mario tells Bowser about what has happened, and Bowser's sad because he actually loves Luigi even though he hates Mario.

Fake Bowser is still ranting about how he fooled everyone.

A Koopa Kingdom wedding (inspired by MLP)

Mario and Luigi had as much of a normal life as possible when being the only two humans in the Koopa Kingdom. Mario had a... "friendly" rivalry, with the crown prince, Bowser. After they grew up, Mario decided to move to the Mushroom Kingdom. He met 4 princesses and together they were basically unbeatable. Still, Mario missed his Little Brother Best Friend Forever

And here we come to the current day. Mario and the princesses get invitations to a wedding, but not just any wedding, the wedding of "King Bowserenthy Amore The 17th and Luigi". He knew he hadn't seen Luigi in a while, but when'd he have time to start dating a king?? Princess Peach comforts him, saying, "He'll always make time for you", and all five of them head off to the Koopa Kingdom.

Luigi has been stressed and busy, that's why he hasn't had time to inform Mario of his engagement. A threat has been made against the Kingdom, and it's up to Luigi and Kamak to make sure that that threat isn't carried out. Mario is still mad he doesn't know who this guy is-- "It's Bowser."

"You mean the guy I used to beat up?" Luigi smiles. "Yeah, maybe... don't worry, he's better now!" Suddenly, Bowser appears behind them.

Mario shouts all sorts of threats in Italian at him, but Bowser ignores him. Bowser's more... casual with his insults then he was when they were young. Like, instead of insulting his height out right, Bowser says "So you're Luigi's brother! You're so... cute..."

Mario doesn't like this. Bowser's too rude for his baby brother. This point is exemplified when Mayor Pauline decides to make him a suit and BOWSER COMPLAINS ABOUT IT!!

Mario decides to confront the princesses about how this is a terrible idea, but they don't believe him. Pauline says he's just nervous about the wedding, Peach says Mario's being possessive. Mario storms off to go see his brother.

Mario sneaks into Luigi's house and sees him and Bowser fighting. "This dress was my mother's!" "Are you disagreeing with me?" Luigi stops, clutching his head. Bowser preforms some sort of spell on him and Luigi's eyes go all spiral-y. Mario runs off.

Everyone's practicing for the big day, except Mario. Bowser walks down the aisle, and Mario bursts in! "You're making a mistake! I am not standing next to him!" Mario goes on a whole rant about how Bowser is evil.

Mario corners Bowser and asks him if he has anything to admit. Bowser starts to cry. "Why are you doing this to me?" Bowser runs off.

As promised, I am back to writing this!

The course of true love never did run smooth.

We shall begin this scene of the play with our young couple running into each other at a park.

A show is but a month away.

And tis but late winter, early spring.

And I'm also gonna talk normally now.

Luigi notices Bowser first.

He hasn't really talked to him much since Christmas, just a small hello here and there.

Which is weird, because (yet again) they have been cast as a couple.

He doesn't really want to bother Bowser outside of work.

Bowser feels someone staring at him.

He turns to find Luigi, who looks like a deer in love lights.

"Oh, hey!"

Luigi just stares at him.

"Are you alright?"

He blinks. "Oh, uh, yeah, I am."

"It's nice to see you outside of the studio!"

"It's nice to see you too," He says before running off.

Bowser looks away, sad that he didn't get to talk to him more.

About a day passes.

Luigi is going to try to stay late again, since he needs some time to himself.

People start to trickle out of the studio.

Bowser seems like he's about to leave, before saying:

"Do you wanna join me for coffee?"

Well, if he says no, he'll know he's gonna stay late, and if he says yes... no, he can't say yes.

"Well, I'm going to a trout fishing competition!"

"A trout fishing competition? You like fishing?"

"Uh, yeah, totally! Well, see you!" And he runs off.

Couple days later, he gonna try to stay late again.

"How was your trout thing the other day?"

"What trout thing?"

"..."

"Right! That trout thing! Um, it went great! I got, uh, 17th!"

"How many fish did you get?"

"Uh... 17?"

"That great! Hey, I was wondering, do you want to come with me to a coffee shop after rehearsal?"

"Uh.... I have a... demolition derby that I... really want to attend!"

"That's... car smashing, you know that, right?"

"Yep! And I am so into that! Haha, yeah, you know nothing about me!"

And so another couple days pass.

"How was that thing you wanted to attend?"

"It was great! How I do love those cars smashing into each other!"

"That's great! Hey, do you want to go get coffee? I know this great place--"

"I can't! I'm going to see... Oppenheimer!"

"Really? I thought you'd want to go see Barbie?"

"Uh..." *runs off*

So this continues a couple more times until the preformence.

It is Midsummer Night's dream.

Goes swimmingly, of course.

Tis after the preformence we shalt focus on.

Luigi is relaxing after the show out of costume.

Bowser comes and sits next to him.

"Hey, you cool if I sit next to you?"

He nods, not making eye contact.

"You know, it's funny, I always see you dancing, and think, 'wow, how does he do that?' And you just put so much emotion and character into your dancing, it feels as though you're really speaking to me."

"I'm not that good."

"You really are! The only thing is, I wish you actually spoke more. Your voice is just as pretty as your dancing."

"Really?"

"Really."

Luigi has that deer in love lights look again.

And so, begins a love story.

Yes, I know there are six months until Christmas, let me have workaholic Luigi!

It's Christmas Eve in Luigi's apartment.

His parents are showering him in affection.

He doesn't have another preformence of the season.

He tells his parents he's tired and he's gonna head to bed.

He plops on the bed and sighs.

Cut to a minute later, Luigi's sneaking down the fire escape with his ballet bag and a coat thrown over his pajamas.

He arrives at the studio as the clock strikes 10.

The door's locked, but he lock picks it.

Don't ask why or how.

He goes into the bathroom and comes out in his ballet outfit.

He puts on some music on his phone and starts dancing.

He's getting lost in the music.

He then hears someone clearing their throat from behind him.

He turns around to find Bowser.

"Oh, hi--"

"What are you doing here? It's past midnight!"

"It's really that late?"

"Yes! How did you get in here?"

"I was just dancing. Why are you here?"

"I was on my way to the store when I saw the light was on. Why aren't you with your family?"

"I wanted to dance, okay? Can't a man dance into the night?"

"No, you can't! You'll wear yourself thin!

"I won't!"

"You already stay late every day, why today?"

"I don't know!"

They start getting in a bit of a fight.

In the end Bowser walks him home.

Well, to the fire escape.

"I'll see you after Christmas."

"Yeah, I'll see you then."

"Bye."

"Bye."

And Luigi sneaks back into his room.

"It's a me problem." "A you problem, eh?"

I got U Draw for the Wii today. Also original sketch under the cut.

U Draw glitched out when I started inking it, so I did it mostly in Scetchbook.

I don't have anything to write today. I don't think it's the end of the story but I really need inspiration of what ballet to do next. I've been kinda playing off popular Bowuigi tropes (and my other stories) for this.

Like, in Swan Lake, that was the all too familiar trope of the dressing as Peach! Odile is deceiving (?) The prince into thinking she's Odette, and then it's double play on it cause he's the stand in! Alright, it's not as deep as I'm pretending. The original prompt was a black dress and I was thinking about dancing for a future chapter of another story, and I thought "the black swan!" And it accidentally was a parallel.

Same with Nutcracker cause... that image, alright. Giving some December 2022 vibes.

*le gasp* what's a ballet with a lot of children? I do not know! Help!

Oh no...

(This is the only ballet I've seen live, so, yeah!)

It's time for the nutcracker casting decision, and everyone's gathered around the list.

Luigi's Clara (No surprise there.)

Peach is the... Nutcracker? Wait, what?

And Bowser's the Rat King?!?! Come on!

Bowser storms over to the director. Why? He has a son! What will his son think?

"Do you want to stay employed as the villain or out of a job?"

"Why the rat king, though?"

"Honestly? You were too big to play the nutcracker."

Alright, maybe Bowser had gotten used to being the prince.

But now he's the big scary villain.

Oh boy.

Meanwhile, Luigi is on the phone with his mom who is being supportive in the worst way possible.

"Oh, my little boy is gonna be famous just like his brother! You're gonna be like that man who dresses like a woman on the TV, oh, what's his name?"

(Holding his temples) "Rue Paul?"

"Yeah, Rue Paul! Soon you'll have your own TV show, just like him! You might even star in one of your brother's movies!"

"Mom, I'm just playing Clara, I'm not famous."

"But soon you will be! This will be the biggest thing you've ever been in!"

"Okay Mom, I love you."

"I love you too, sweetheart!"

He hangs up the phone and sighs.

Scenes regarding practice and stuff!

Bowser starts noticing that Luigi has been staying late.

He starts staying later as well.

He will try to start up conversation, but questions will be answered in one sentence.

"So, how's your family?"

"Good."

"You excited to see them?"

"Mhm-hm."

"How about your brother?"

"He's coming."

"Are you okay?"

"I'm fine, now can we please just dance?"

It's getting closer to the preformence.

One day, as the studio's winding down, Luigi gets a phone call and leaves early.

He then arrives late the next day.

Everyone is asking if he's okay, but he just wants to get to dancing.

Yet again, he's the last to leave, except for Bowser, who is stays late as well to see if he's okay.

Luigi doesn't talk, he just runs through his parts.

It's dark by the time Luigi starts packing up, and Bowser's just sitting, waiting for him to finish.

Luigi sits down next to him and starts to take off his shoes.

"You know, whatever's going on, you can tell me."

Luigi shrugs. "It's a me problem."

"A you problem, eh?"

He nods.

"This is the latest you've stayed."

"No, I once slept here."

"This is the latest I've seen you stay."

"Yeah."

"What's up with you?"

He sighs. "My brother's not coming for Christmas."

"What's he like?"

They talk about Mario while Luigi gets dressed.

They walk out of the studio together before finally parting ways.

3 days before the show, Luigi has to pick up his parents from the airport.

Day of the actual show.

Luigi's parents have been there since 4.

At like, 5:30(?) A bunch of security guards show up with a very tired looking Pauline and a very hyper Junior.

The preformence goes well.

After the final bow, they go out to see their families.

Junior is not the least bit bothered by the fact his father was the villain. In fact, he thinks it's awesome as hell!

Meanwhile, Luigi's parents are drowning him in affection.

Anyway, I'm tired and didn't have a plan for this chapter really? Idk. Also I have answers for questions if you have any.

Oh look, it's daytime and not a preformence!

The song is "one more time with feeling" by Regina Spektor.

It's a fall day and currently no preformences are in progress.

Everyone is starting to leave for the day.

Bowser is one of the first to leave.

As he's right outside his door when he realizes he's forgotten his bag. It has his keys in it.

He runs back to the studio.

He's never been in it when there's no one there. It's creepy.

As he finally finds his bag but hears music from the stage. Someone must've left a speaker on.

Op, nope, it's Luigi. He's just dancing.

Bowser just stares for a minute, not even realizing he's doing it.

Then Luigi notices him.

"Oh, hi Bowser! You wanna dance?"

"Oh, no, I just forgot my bag, you can continue what you were doing."

"Oh, okay!"

Luigi continues to dance while Bowser watches.

Then a thought pops into Bowser's head.

It's getting close to Christmas.

The studio always does the nutcracker for the end of the year.

He's been cast as the main male character in the past two productions.

And Luigi has been climbing the ranks.

Sh*t.

"Hey, you excited for Christmas?

(Luigi's doing a bunch of turns) "Hmm? Oh yeah! My family's coming here for a week to see me!"

(Walking closer) "Well, we always do a production of the nutcracker, and judging by the past two productions, we're probably going to the leads."

(Stopping) "Is there a problem with that?"

"No, there's not! Just... I feel weird after last time, ya know?"

"I know, you weren't the one blushing on stage. Still, we should be glad to be getting the roles."

"I'm not complaining about staying employed, just us being forced to work together."

"Well, we're not being forced right now."

They both look around. No one else is there, just them.

"You have a point."

"You wanna dance?"

"Sure."

Luigi changes the music to "One more time with feeling" by Regina Spektor.

They start free styling.

"What do you think your parents will think?"

(Annoyed and clearly just trying to dance) "What do mean?"

"Well, when they see us dancing together?"

"They'll be fine, they know it's just my job."

... "Don't you have the famous br--"

"Yes, I do. He'll be fine as well."

....... "But, like--"

Luigi literally jumps into Bowser's arms. "It will be fine, now can we just dance?!"

"Okay..."

Tune in... probably tomorrow for the nutcracker!
